The Pantheon of the Nors
Overview
The majority of Aosi believe in the Nors, a pantheon of deities that came before the Dǎri to the world and helped lay it out for the people who followed. The Pantheon comprises of forty-eight separate Nors, many of which have overlap with their individual tenets and representations. Most denizens of Aosi worship and abide by the tenets of at least one Nor, but many expand their reach to have several deities. It would be inappropriate for someone to pledge themselves to both a Nor that represents War and Chaos and to a Nor that represents Peace and Good Will. Those Nors are likely in conflict with each other, and do not like to share.Mythology
In mythology, the Nors are those who came before, immortal, endless beings of light and darkness who forged Enair'l from the bones of gigantic creatures they once rode as steeds.Reality
The Nors are creatures older than Enair'l, yes, but they did not create the land. They pilgrammaged there not long after the first dǎri evolved from the seas as they had been cast out of their native land, and when they discovered the dǎri and the others beginning to evolve they pledged to protect and nurture them in return for a home.
