Emile, Arcady, Bastien, and Oliver Barrick built the community of Sitka Cove when they established their lumber company here. Beyond the fortune brought to them by the plentiful lumber, they increased their wealth by trapping and panning for gold north of their fledgling town. At first, they encouraged family members to come and make a home in the very small community, but over time, others also came. Including a man well-versed in the art of the Occult who thought that demons under his control could help him secure even more wealth and power. He was mocked until one of his "experiments" caused the death of the youngest Barrick brother. Then he was exiled from town. But the damage had been done.
