Halfling

One of the dominant races of Carath. Halflings range far, an often-nomadic people, who take well to the cities of other races, or sometimes the bucolic countryside, if they wish to cease their roaming. They are divided into three great clans, each with its own relationship to travel and settlement, but distinguished almost entirely by culture, rather than the clear physical distinctions of elven or dwarven sub-races. Halflings value both honest labour and the wit to avoid it; they are friendly and open, but will take advantage of any who underestimate them.
