Marches of Melis

The Marches of Melis is a large territory at the heart of Pharein, primarily made of rolling grassland surrounded by thick, nearly impenetrable forest. Its name is based on the legend of Merope exploring the continent and changing the nature of all living things wherever her feet fell. Elves of all kinds also refer to it as the Cradle of Corellon, in honor of her first child and the first of their kind. Eladrin, gnomes, firbolgs, and centaurs all make this area their home. While there are no organized kingdoms or countries in the Marches, there are many different prominent settlements.
