Skrill
Goddess of Dreams and Luck
Origin
Skrill was born from the turbulent dreams of Sister Nirah after she narrowly escaped Twin Aris, who sought to destroy her. As Sister Nirah tossed and turned through the night, she found herself in a multicolored, swirling realm she did not recognize. Instinctually she reached out to control the arcane chaos and channel it before she suddenly awoke, somehow more drained, but unable to sleep ever again. Skrill who was suddenly born, seemingly without reason, found herself in a sanctuary realm newly discovered to gods and mortals alike. Sitting in her constantly changing void of colors, she sees all dreams and nightmares as they manifest within her realm but she has no knowledge of what they are, just for them to fade away as quickly as they appeared. She watches, mostly wordlessly as things flicker and dance around her, but rarely, when she does see something of great interest, she graces the dreamer with sudden lucidity to ask them about all their dreams and world.Places of Worship
Skrills followers do not construct shrines or temples in their goddess's name, but instead opt for handmade trinkets of wood, string and beads left by their heads when they sleep for the night.Followers
Without any way of seeing the mortal plane or those around it, she occasionally will make creatives and deep sleepers her clerics and paladins. As they return to bed each night, they often find themselves telling stories of the realms to the ethereal lady, so that one day, she may hopefully make sense of all she sees. In return for their knowledge, Skrill grants them the luck they need to return to bed the next night for another peacful sleep.
