Manalism vs Valism

Manalism has suffered under the rule of Jokull as Valism overshadows this amazing culture. Note, Manalism is the belief and practice of mana flowing through all living things in the world. While Valism is the belief that death through battle is the only way to bring honor to oneself. The establishment of Manalism in Jokull dates back to before the Elven Wars. This was back when there whereabouts beyond the Fjellskog Mountains were known as they reside within the Great Forest of Karelian.
Before the wars the elves felt a shift in mana flow across the mountains that was going to create a mana diseaster. These caustrophic calamities occur when the mana flow throughout the region is unbalanced. The prerequiste of such an event is when the inhabitants of the land take too much and give too little in return, in turn making the land retaliate, forcing itself to self destruct inorder to rid itself of its overbearing inhabitatns and start anew.
When the elves first caught wind of the unbalance in Jokull they ventured out to seek out the problem to fix it. This is the teachings of Manalism, to perserve and protect the balance of the world. Once they arrived in the kingdom of Jokull the elves were met with many different reactions. Considering that their teachings was more pascifits and against Valism's belief the elves were generally met with preduijuce. Despite that the followers of Valism valued that of power more then anything and with the introduction of mana and magic shown to them a brand new world was revealed to them. Unfortuantely, Manalism's teachings were taken advantage of and Jokull's people took advantage of the elves. With the balance still not restored the elves then decided that the only way to bring back balance was to elminate Jokull. However, with the lack of mana in Jokull's land the elves were slightly powerless in face with brute strength. Thus, they retreated closing off the only passage way to them from the mountains. Sadly, not all the elves made it out and some got left behind leaving Manalism to suffer under the rule of Jokull and Valism.
