The Trade Alliances of Smith's

Cities

Here we will show the maps of the kingdoms, duchies and lands throughout each of the ages.

Aaru

Known as the City of Fields and Reeds, they say that Aaru is the fertilest lands on the northern continent. Though this is not due to its natural fertility but rather the expert understanding of the many tradesman who are honored and welcomed within Aaru's walls. A small city state home to near three thousand and growing, the city is known for welcoming any and all. As its ruler Normac has made clear, "All who enter are equal, no greater or lesser then another.". A city designed on merit, the placement of the shops on the streets reflecting there ability. Those closest to the center are noted as the most capable, while the outer shops are considered the "Apprentice Streets". Said to be a city of rare quality, but lacking in quantity, Aaru has become known as the City of Craftsman.

Nobility

Here we shall discuss notable noble houses through the time periods.

Normac "The Golden Hammer" of clan Asi

A capable warrior and finer smith, Normac would rise to prominance amongst the Asi clan for his personal works. His armor and weapons seemingly quite capable of protecting those that took good care of the items. Many of the Asi clan believed Normac to be the natural successor of his uncle Mov'asi, though when Normac learned the truth. It is said that he stormed out of the city and headed south, some believe he learned of the dragon pits that a few of the dragonlords had sponsored. Others believe that Normac saw what King Mov'Asi had planned for the world. The truth was never let known, but it wasn't shortly after this the smith would find himself traveling about the continent of Crakec. A year would pass before Normac would make his decision, he would become a king who respected and let all live equally. Well, as equally as there merit could grant them, for they could not be put on a pedastool as his family was. Many of them useless and enjoying the fruits of the clans labor. No, Normac would see a city of those capable, gathering the strongest mercenaries, the most business savy merchants, and the best craftsman he knew. Normac would set out to kill an apex monster and prove his dream was worth fighting for. A strong but prideful young gold dragon, it is said that Normac would single handedly craft the gear that killed Sostern, while in combat with it. After multiple days and nights of fighting, it is said that Flare who would deal the final blow, never saw her gear crack or bend under the constant assault.

As well as there devotion to Normac "The Golden Hammer" in which they would spend all there time not training perfecting a single craft. Only allowing there Crafting Squires to craft gear for them otherwise.

Current and Past Wars

Here we shall discuss the notable wars for each period and who they were against.

The Blazing Glory Wars

Said to have lasted a total of fourteen days, though in truth the battle was only seven. A war that would kick off as the forces of both the Flamed Dukedom and The Trade Alliances of Smiths would make landfall on the northern contient of Celsica. With hordes of monsters said to have attacked from the woods around the beach. The group would be in constant battle either from ambush or raids the first few days of establishing a beach head. It is said that the encampment still acts as the natural bay for all ships entering into the city of Aaru. As the two armies would continue to push, the days would grow long with smiths and warriors alike trying to keep up with the demand for equipment. However, on the seventh day of the first week, it is said that Normac and Flare would lead the forces together as they spotted the leader of this monsterous army. Sostern would engage the two in a duel as the army around continued to clash. Though as it grew dark, both forces except for the generals would retreat back to camp, each day returning to battle while the three kept fighting. Left undisturbed, Sostern would slowly wittle away at the armor and weapons of Flare until Normac would get an idea. As he began to smith from the ground itself, it is said the gear created would save Flare as her gear broke, allowing her to get the final strike which would kill the creature and send the army retreating. The war was over by the end of The Planting.

Religious beliefs

Here we shall discuss the different religious beliefs in this kingdoms history throughout the periods.   Note, all religions seemed fully welcome within the city. None where given any more priority than another, however all were welcome to apply for building rights within the town. Thus Aaru was one of the few cities who did not discriminate against any religion.

Events/Holidays

We shall begin to discuss notable holidays and events in this kingdom. Explaining further on where they come from and what goes on during them.   Note, with a large population of pakob a majority of there beliefs would become common amongst The Trade Alliances of Smiths.

The Founding

Though considered more of a holiday for the merchants visiting the city. The Founding is said to happen on the first of the planting each year. A celebration prior to planting the seeds for that years harvest, those amongst the city will begin a celebration. All work put off for the week, as the city begins selling its greatest quality goods and crafts. Those who manage to gain the highest profit are given the right of sitting at Normac's personal forge and working with him. Being allowed to keep not only what they make, but as well being granted the title of Master Craftsman, which is said to allow you the right of purchasing your own shop in the city. It is believed to be the fastest and cheapest way to gain land within the territory, though competition is fierce. With smiths traveling from across the globe to compete and gain recognition.

Marriage

Commonly most those who lived within the nation did not wed without the head of there families permission. This allows for many of the tradesman about the city to take control of sections of the city peacefully. And allowing for the most requested craftsman to grow without losing other families to poverty.

Pathom (Primordial) Festival

A festival that happens every year upon the day of the defeat of the first and last king of the Pakob. During this celebration the Pakob are said to release themselves for twenty four hours from their duties and celebrate as true “heathens” would. Through large gatherings of both genders. As well as feasting for the full time period on the great elemental boars only known to be native to the Pakob mountains.

Economy

Here we shall discuss the unique economics of different nations as needed.

Economic Status

The current noted treasury value of the nation through raw resource development

Raw Treasury

With a raw treasury of 100 diamond coins, 500 ruby coins, and 300 sapphire hills.
Copper Mine
Currently producing 20lbs of Copper ore a day, valued at 1,000 emerald coins a day, with expected 25,000 of copper in the ground still valued at 1,250,000 emerald coins
Stonehide Bison
Noted for annually producing 100 to a 500 adults, each is noted at 30,000 ruby volcanos coins for a male, 15,000 ruby volcanos coins for a female. Giving an annual value of 1,500,000 to 15,000,000 RV coins.

Coins

Here we shall find how the coins look, what materials they are made of, and what the value of the coins are on the overall market.   DIAMOND CROWNS
The first coin that replaced the common platinum that the dragons used for its shininess. Giants though, are not dragons, thus the more common material of liquid diamonds would be harvested from the cores of the volcanoes in the heart of the magma as it was believed. This material would be farmed to make coins and other magical items.   RUBY VOLCANOS
Believed to be equivalent to the gold piece commonly used by the lesser nations including dragons. Thus the Jotun-Modr pioneered the coin in the shape of their homeland to be used by those sworn to them. These simple coins are individually 5cm by 5cm like the other coins, however it is clear and seems to sparkle from its craftsmanship only possible by the Jotun-Modr who individually made each coin.   SAPPHIRE HILLS
Sapphire hills were thinner coins due to there higher rarity, though most giants valued sapphires less then rubies and only slightly more then emeralds. Thus most recognized this simple hill drawn with sheep grazing into the individual sapphires as a silver coin.   EMERALD PLAINS
Lastly and most common in the Jotun-Modr volcanos were emeralds. As the material was farmed simply from their individual Rok-heap herds. Thus simple grass would be carved into the coins as apprentices practiced there arts on the coins.

Trade Goods

Here you shall find the trade goods this race has on offer in the nations they inhabit   Note, while this city in the start has yet to start with a specialization. Please note, that the city did sell all metal goods, equipment and adventuring gear one could ask for. A city of smiths though specialize in there quality ordered goods rather than a quantity salesman like your common merchant.
