The Scaled Alliance

Cities

Here we will show the maps of the kingdoms, duchies and lands throughout each of the ages.

The City of Bloods End

Known to have been a city dedicated to the arcane arts of necromancy, blood magic, enchantment and transmutation. There are statues of the celestial being all throughout the city of Bloods End depicted crying bloody tears and dragonborne like, she holds a dagger in the air in one hand and a skeleton baby dragon cradled to her chest in the other. The city itself is noted for selling iron tools and weapons as the smiths in the city seem to work night and day without breaks. Much of the city is noted to have been destroyed with the majority of businesses and hamlets missing roofs, windows and in most cases the inner doors. The name of the city kept almost as a symbol for those who had fallen for it and those that would rise above it. Though many of the statues would be kept, more would be added and the city would be noted for its multiple depictions of anti slavery and hatred of gods in there art.

Nobility

Here we shall discuss notable noble houses through the time periods.

Himkin "Young Blood and Guts"

Believed to have been the personal slave of a retired dragon capable of fighting on equal standing with the likes of Corix or Cysormix. Himkin was trained from a young age how to fight and kill, spending much of his time when not tending the elder dragons farmland. Having been forced into the fighting pits beneath the city of Bloods End, Himkin saw the darkest abominations that crawled from the dragonpits. Spending much of his life either fighting or as the toy of his owner, the relationship between the two grew worse with age and with time Himkin found himself more often then not tending the fields. As he watched the other slaves be taken away to the same fate he had experienced, it all came to halt when a small member of his hatching group was taken to be fed to a mad snow beard. However, that day it is said that Himkin snapped, cutting down four guards in an instant and tearing down the dragon master he had sworn a pact to serve. From there it is said that Himkin would enter the castle of Bloods End and return with the supposed corpse of the bone dragon, however the body mysteriously would turn to ash when exposed to the sudden sunlight that was seen clearing overhead. From that day forth, Himkin was the leader of The Scaled Alliance, standing as the one who took the crown.

Bellator "The Gourmet"

https://i.pinimg.com/736x/ba/b7/70/bab770edc2cee5f1e1757f02d8ad3871.jpg
Born the largest of his clan, a long extinct water dragon clan that was said to dominate the seas even when Mov'asi took power. Though they would fall on hard times as a strange creature was spotted beneath the waves. A blue skinned, goliath like creature that spoke the words of death and made the seas themselves flee. Bellator at a young age saw all of this, and decided from that day forth never to return to the seas. To eat and to grow strong, as the dragons that had led his clan had failed to do. Thus when Bellator was found during the war of freedom, he was discovered amongst a pile of dragon corpses in a large barracks of near thirty troops. None would escape his gluttony except his own people, for as Bellator stated, slaves tasted great but kin tasted of death. Thus The Gourmet was born, even now as he stands equal size with a frost giant, and seems to be a prominant leader amongst his people. Bellator "The Gourmet" is well known for his xenophobic ideals, and believes that the other races should serve them as they are the true dragons.

Basileus "Big Game Hunter"

https://i.pinimg.com/736x/ec/2a/96/ec2a96d5f1d9a399928890c7e6856969.jpg
A true koboldkin who served as the right hand to Himkin throughout many of his fighting pit days. The only noteable amongst the council who is said to be fully loyal to Himkin, Basileus is known for his headstrong and military mindset. Without any interest in day to day life, Basileus finds himself constantly either training, studying military tactics, or preparing for war. Having never known a different life, it is believed that Basileus has a plan to take out every nation at least three seperate ways. He is known for his short height, his average green scales and his love and hate of battle. Having spent much of the war of freedom on the frontlines, watching his men die beside him as he continued to slay there dragon masters. Basileus was never one to understand how all those around him could be so weak, thus he is considered by many as an impossible general and commander. But those few troops that not only survive his training but fight alongside him personally state that he is the kindest commander. Himkin was even once stated to say "Basileus is like his name implies, a cold and icy look. But at his core he cares like a mother for its child, his soldiers are his family."

Servus Globalist leader

https://i.pinimg.com/enabled_lo/564x/cc/e9/87/cce987c92935120a654f71ef1a470144.jpg
The only slave amongst the council in The Scaled Alliance who had any former education or training, Servus found himself as the brains for the group. Having been forced to learn from a young age how to read, write and do basic math as Servus's father served as the First Butler of Lhaah himself. And Servus was expected to one day take his place as his grandfather, and multiple generations had before. Though scary in appearance, his family was chosen specifically by Lhaah to serve for there appearance yet kind nature. Stating that Servus's family was no more then a paper tiger for his power that hid behind them. Though Servus hated the idea of being a butler, there were worse fates, though by no means would he resign himself to his fate. He loved food, and wanted to see the world, even fight stronger warriors. Servus would join Himkin last during the war of freedom, having managed to rally much of the casltes staff. Servus would lead them at first against Himkin, nearly defeating him and his forces. However, when Himkin spoke of his plans, Servus agreed to stand aside only if the young leader would ascend the steps and fight his master alone. From that day forth, Servus swore fealty to Himkin when he saw his masters corpse in his hands. Though strangely smaller then he had remembered, the battle beaten corpse must have been his for no other claimed such a horrific bone like form. Servus now serves as the globalist believer, and speaks for global trade and a focus on making the people wealthy rather then isolation or militarism.

Magusa "The Dyr'co"

https://i.pinimg.com/736x/a2/ec/b4/a2ecb4cbec8f969ff33a30b858ccea60.jpg
Founder of the religious sect that popped up after the fall of Lhaah and the biggest believer in purging all those who do not stand with the Dyr'co (Dear-co). The term means "Those born on the ground with glory in there scales", an adopted term from the mixing of snow beard term for grounded in glory is "Dyer" or Dear in common pronunciation. The term "co" means flightless in draconic and giant and thus the cult had sprung up around the idea of being without wings to be considered one with those of the nation. Magusa was born a beautiful dragonkin but had her wings torn out magically at a young age, as they were "to beautiful" according to her master at the time. Later sold off as a common brothel worker, Magusa would find herself living a hard life with no control. Eventually it is said that she snapped in the capital city of Blood's End and would kill her patron at the time. A dragon who was said to be immensly gifted in magic beyond any other, and with this Magusa would steal his power away as she slit his throat. Using the power, the city would find itself frozen in fear as she donned her cult like attire and began freeing slaves and converting them to following her as the new god of her people.

Current and Past Wars

Here we shall discuss the notable wars for each period and who they were against.

War of Freedom

Dragonlord Lhaah vs The Scaled Alliance
A war that was described as starting at multiple points throughout Lhaah's territory. With reports stating that the heliovoli of Raguel's dukedom, the gnolls of Luck's Pack and the koboldkin of The Scaled Alliance all started within the territory of Lhaah. With Lucks Pack destroying in a day the entire northern infrastructure that had been set to keep the Snowbeard Kingdoms out. Though the question many historians still debate is who was first? A question, we truly do not know. As Bolo would go through and kill three seperate dragon clans under Lhaah's faction, Raguel soaking through the dragon clans of the southern and western ends of the territory, and lastly Himkin rising up in Lhaahs own backyard. What is known is that during the war, the leaders of The Scaled Alliance, Himkin, Bellator, Basileus, Servus, and Magus would all manage to tear through the elite guards of the castle and its surrounding farm towns. Each known to be guarded by nearly five or six minor dragon clans of differing scales, though each in there own right having multiple seasoned adults. It is believed that in a total of three days the war would end, and the three nations would split. With Luck's Pack being granted the northern territory after a strange deal with Himkin and Raguel. And Raguel would contiue on his attack until finally reaching Hwiwyrmy's former kingdom. With the two nations having split away, the rest fell to Himkin and while the days after were known as "The Winged Purge", the territory would after near a year find itself back to some normalcy. Those who still stand with wings on there back are looked upon with disdain, but the war of freedom would come to a conclusion with the final death of a bandit named "Headless Gold" a dragonkin who had supposedly served at a high point in court. With his death saw Himkin wipe out the last of the bandit armies that would roam the countryside, and the last hope of dragons reclaiming the territory one day.

Religious beliefs

Here we shall discuss the different religious beliefs in this kingdoms history throughout the periods.

Note

The Scaled Alliance are believers in no gods for there chains are what they believe is worship.

Events/Holidays

We shall begin to discuss notable holidays and events in this kingdom. Explaining further on where they come from and what goes on during them.

Days of Freedom

A day marked on the calendar at the end of the War of Freedom, believed to be the day that Himkin slew the final dragonlord of the lands. The day is said to start with great feasting and end with the burning of wooden effigies that appear similar to the many dragonlords of the past. Families from across the land will travel just to join in, with a focus of celebrating what was gained and lost in those terrifying days. Many burn smaller statues of dragonlors they have served, or will pay there respects to the large graveyard filled with statues of the fallen heros. While the morning is marked with food and ale being served freely to all those of scaled skin, many who travel through the lands at the time can expect a cold welcome at first. As the day goes on however, merchants and the flow of ale is noted to cause the locals to open up. Though it should be noted, that even when the locals grow kind and filled with booze, troublemakers can be found everywhere. Fights in the city are common and few can be expected to find help if you are not of scaled skin in the first place. The rest of the day will continue with rampant partying in the streets, music playing and tales being told of the great war. And at the end, when the stars are high in the sky, the statues are set ablaze and the dragonlords of old are cursed by those who survived the great terror.

Economy

Here we shall discuss the unique economics of different nations as needed.

Economic Status

The current noted treasury value of the nation through raw resource development

Raw Treasury

As the country has only recently gone through a revolution, much of its economic set up was noted to be limited.

Coins

Here we shall find how the coins look, what materials they are made of, and what the value of the coins are on the overall market.   DIAMOND CROWNS
The first coin that replaced the common platinum that the dragons used for its shininess. Giants though, are not dragons, thus the more common material of liquid diamonds would be harvested from the cores of the volcanoes in the heart of the magma as it was believed. This material would be farmed to make coins and other magical items.   RUBY VOLCANOS
Believed to be equivalent to the gold piece commonly used by the lesser nations including dragons. Thus the Jotun-Modr pioneered the coin in the shape of their homeland to be used by those sworn to them. These simple coins are individually 5cm by 5cm like the other coins, however it is clear and seems to sparkle from its craftsmanship only possible by the Jotun-Modr who individually made each coin.   SAPPHIRE HILLS
Sapphire hills were thinner coins due to there higher rarity, though most giants valued sapphires less then rubies and only slightly more then emeralds. Thus most recognized this simple hill drawn with sheep grazing into the individual sapphires as a silver coin.   EMERALD PLAINS
Lastly and most common in the Jotun-Modr volcanos were emeralds. As the material was farmed simply from their individual Rok-heap herds. Thus simple grass would be carved into the coins as apprentices practiced there arts on the coins.

Trade Goods

Here you shall find the trade goods this race has on offer in the nations they inhabit

Note

The territory itself is not known for any special good that is unique only to that territory. Rather the open trade it allows with road networks developed by the former slaves adoption of the "Regin Uthem Expanionist Method" as Himkin would come to refer to it as. These roads were said to be patrolled day and night with large resting areas designated across the lands. Though many of the local merchants will be rare to trade with strangers, those who know someone that had or those who fought in the War of Freedom find themselves welcomed everywhere.
