This large blue furred appendage at first glance appears as if a spider monkeys tail attached onto its host. However, at the correct movement of this grafts host, the long hallowed rapier like needle seems to stick out. With a hallow center, the rapier is capable of both piercing its foes, but as well absorbing poison from nearby. Spraying it out like a Giant Whip like Scorpion. The appendage is a masterwork that only the likes of the greatest flesh grafters can recognize. Though when cut in half, what can be seen within are small parasite like brain creatures that seem to act as its "muscles". Giving it that truly exotic and foreign appearance as is common amongst the illithid creations.Item Effect:
Weapon Graft: While most grafts are living tissue attached to another living body, a weapon graft is exactly what the name suggests: a normal, masterwork, or magic melee weapon grafted onto the behind of its user. The weapon actually becomes a natural weapon, though its other properties are unchanged. The grafted creature receives a +1 bonus on all attack and damage rolls with the weapon, as long as it is proficient with the weapon. However, it cannot use the tail with the graft for anything but combat, and it takes a -2 penalty on all skill checks requiring the use of tail.This tail grants its user proficiency with Rapiers only.
Bonus to hit and Damage
This tails rapier attack is considered a +4 to hit weapon (inclusive of above weapon graft +1), with a 2d6+strength modifier for damage, and a 18-20 critical hit range that is x2 upon hit.Poison Absorption
This tail upon the wielder being hit with a poison or venom effect that is not magical in origin. Allows the user to instead, once per day have tail absorb the poison with a Reflex Save DC 5 + poisons magical/power level needed to craft. If poison is natural (does not require magic or psionics to make), it gets a +1 effect making DC 6.Upon success, the wielder of this tail can use the Poison Spray effect with the poison or venom absorbed.
Poison Spray
Once a day the wielder can discharge a 20-foot-diameter spread of noxious vapor, from the poison or venom it has absorbed, centered on itself. This cloud functions as an inhaled poison (Fortitude DC 10 + poisons level or +1 for non magical/psionic poisons; initial and secondary damage based on poison). The save DC is Constitution-based.Aura: Moderate Necromancy
