The Council of Gems

Cities

Here we will show the maps of the kingdoms, duchies and lands throughout each of the ages.

Adventerer's Beginning

A city well known for its massive adamantine mines, and thousand gem mines spotted throughout the large underground portion of the town. Unique in both population and design, the city of Adventurer's Beginning sits to the far north west of the continent of Drafika. Ruled by Aleithnyadnar, it is well known for its schools designed to help young and new adventurers get the most out of there training. The city dedicates itself to providing the best crafted gear to order out of adamantine and gems, though lacks for magical equipment outside of runic enhancement magic. Though it is believed that the legendary gear crafted by the city can improve ones own abilities five and sometimes ten fold. The city is well known for having multiple adventurers guilds, taverns, and being a very loud and prosperous town. Though the surrounding territories due lack for monsters of any note as either Tanarukks hunting grounds are were the beasts travel to, or those few that manage to come into the territory are slain immediately by the Aleithnyadnar brood of dragons.

Nobility

Here we shall discuss notable noble houses through the time periods.

Aleithnyadnar "The Obisidian Shield" (Ah-leaf-knee-ad-nar) (In Common, Enhancement)

A dragon well known for his understanding of enhancement magic that seemed to specifically grow the user more powerful either for a temporary amount of time. Or as many would later learn, his ability to increase the understanding from battle gained. Making those who trained under the rather unimpressive in size or pressence, obsidian scaled dragon. Though many would doubt his power, Aleithnyadnar is noted for having fought both Sostern and Nolothom to a draw as the three combatants could no longer continue from the three month long fight. His ability to enhance his own capabilities from the eggs of his defeated is believed to be what made the dragon so powerful. Founding a magic school around the idea of enhancing ones abilities, experience in battle, or resistance to damages was the main premise. Allowing for many adventurers to flock to the city that would later be known as Adventurer's Beginning.

Current and Past Wars

Here we shall discuss the notable wars for each period and who they were against.

The Diamond Wars

Having started early into the year, it was shown how ill prepared the Council of Gems would be. With them watching the first assasination attempt on there leader and his clan, the Council of Gems would act fast sending there full force to take the field. Having managed to get the jump on Gregsmaratam, it was noted that Aleithnyadnar offered his sisters hand and his cooperation with Mov'asi's empire in exchange for capturing the upstart dragon. But little did the Council of Gems know of the large quantity of coins that Gregsmaratam was willing to part with in exchange for freedom. Once returned, though The Council of Gems would continue to win battle after battle, it couldnt help be noted that the war saw more and more of the councils troops dying while there enemy had yet to lose half there forces.

As dragons age at such slow rates, few care to celebrate or see value in it, but many of the dragon lords use these days as a holiday amongst the slave population. Granting days of no labor, large orgies, vast feasts and huge scraps sent to the slave pens. Thus many slaves and dragons join in on the celebration, as little law or order can be found during the day long festival it is considered both the most dangerous and fun time to be in a dragons territory.

Coins

Here we shall find how the coins look, what materials they are made of, and what the value of the coins are on the overall market.   DIAMOND CROWNS The first coin that replaced the common platinum that the dragons used for its shininess. Giants though, are not dragons, thus the more common material of liquid diamonds would be harvested from the cores of the volcanoes in the heart of the magma as it was believed. This material would be farmed to make coins and other magical items.   RUBY VOLCANOS Believed to be equivalent to the gold piece commonly used by the lesser nations including dragons. Thus the Jotun-Modr pioneered the coin in the shape of their homeland to be used by those sworn to them. These simple coins are individually 5cm by 5cm like the other coins, however it is clear and seems to sparkle from its craftsmanship only possible by the Jotun-Modr who individually made each coin.   SAPPHIRE HILLS Sapphire hills were thinner coins due to there higher rarity, though most giants valued sapphires less then rubies and only slightly more then emeralds. Thus most recognized this simple hill drawn with sheep grazing into the individual sapphires as a silver coin.   EMERALD PLAINS Lastly and most common in the Jotun-Modr volcanos were emeralds. As the material was farmed simply from their individual Rok-heap herds. Thus simple grass would be carved into the coins as apprentices practiced there arts on the coins.
