The City of Gold
When near another city, it is said that The City of Gold will disguise itself as if it was that city. But with more wealth on display, merchants happily trading rare and exotic goods, women and men that seem to come from all different lands that change to the victims preferences. When out away from other cities it is said to appear as if a large metroplis of three storied buildings, exotic shops, beautiful people and everything is covered in gold. The last appearance that has been noted is its nightly stalking form, in which it becomes a small house or tower with parts of its latest meal sometimes hanging out or incorporated in a macab fashion. This visage includes two large humanoid legs that let it traverse vast areas in minutes. It is said that even the apex creatures of the continent hide from it at night.
Instead of casting a projection of the creatures true form, it reinforces the transformed state of The City of Gold when in its city form. Thus making even those with the sharpest of eyes still seem to struggle noticing the difference between reality and a well set trap.

Hungry, a creature who is known to both be a traveling predator that claims half of the continent as its hunting ground. Or during the day to be waiting for its prey to come to it, as it disguises itself as a nearby settlement but with magnatudes of wealth on display throughout the town. Raiders of far greater strength then the common adventurer would find themselves easily devoured by the creature as it seems to lure in all it can. The Eternal Hunger was the best nickname given to the creature when it was first discovered.Classes

Easily tricked and led around like a wild beast when its hunting at night. Though what adventurer would be willing to attempt to outrun a creature that hunts ancient dragons is capable of stating how easy that task would be. If your of this capability, we recommend treating it like a rabbid beast, it will pursue you to the ends of the world unless another more powerful magical force appears nearby.Unique Spells

A mimic that came from nowhere and appeared everywhere, that is the simplest of stories when describing a creature such as this. The City of Gold is an apex monster in every way imaginable, as it fears nothing, serves both as a warning in history books and to locals to speak of. A creature built for legends, and made of legends. All that is known of this creature is that it one day appeared in writing but many historians noted that The City of Gold was far to large at the time of its first notings in history to have been young. As mimics grow in size the older they get and the more hungry they become shows the power they have at hand or so researchers believe. The City of Gold is a creature that should not be hunted but exterminated, for it has already claimed the lives of four thousand adventurers that we know took on the job to hunt the creature. It is also noted to have wiped out to civilizations prior to the dragons coming to the continent, as signs of older archeological digs would be found near its "nesting" area.Signed
