Snow Dwarves (Niwarves)

Language: Yakut

General Information

The snow dwarves a race long lost to history after the destruction of a titan based beholder by the name of Cerseki. The last known members of this race are house Venkasz or so recent discoveries have lead us to believe. The Niwarves race are considered the original vedan, though the opinion is considered controversial. Many have noted that similarity between the multiple warves races. This has lead the speculation that multiple minor clans at the end of the first age would find themselves crossing the great oceans of the time to new lands. Making the Niwarves race the eldest of the stone footed as the dragons would call them.

Cities

First Age

These are the cities noted to have existed in the first age under the Niwarves control.

Oventuim

The Crown Jewel of the Niwarves kingdom around halfway through the first age when it was discovered, already ancient in appearance. The architecture was made of a black marble and gleaming with bright red gems. The city is brilliantly colored or was, but is surrounded by a massive lava lake. Lava flows down through pillars in the ceiling and gives power to the red hanging lights. Oventuim once was the city that never slept because it was always bright. The castle is beautiful with the walls built of the finest black marble, and the castle carved out a black and red gem. The city is the largest holding over 400,000 Niwarves inside.

Venkasz Hold

Known as the Iron Halls, the Venkasz hold is noted as a city that was made with the highest and thickest iron walls in history. Said to have been protected by a constant array of cold magic to keep the walls and the city within cold. It is believed the small cult of Uthem Grunaga are at the center of the cities magic development. Having made massive advancements in cold magic that allows for grander spells to be cast and less waroen to perish from mana exhaustion. Venkasz hold is said to be a massive stronghold with more troops per house then commoners. With merchants only of the Niwarves race being allowed to come and go from the city freely. Many who have visited the city have noted it for its constant feasting, celebrating and artisitic creations. For while the outside of the city is a daunting fortress designed to fend off even the strongest of dragons, the inside is said to be in constant excitement and joy. With large brothels, massive bar halls, and nothing other then to eat, drink, train and screw, the niwarves city seems to prosper in a place where even the strongest would faulter. The cities inner walls are decorated with large statues of each of the Venkasz house member holding up a marble chunk that seems to be carved once they pass to show there greatest achievements. The city while it seems to not allow non niwarves, the rare exception for slaves and servants was allowed amongst the many niwarves merchant clans.

Hamescus StrongPort

Noted as being on the northern border of Yacyroxr Kingdom, the city is noted for its Oventium and Rune Iron walls that seem to guard the city against magic casters. Few magic casters even amongst the Niwarves can be found here as the city seems to drain mana from those around it. The city is stated as the main port in and out of the Snowbeard Kingdom. Believed to be in an uneasy alliance with the dragonlord neighbor, the city sees many items passing through its ships from the dragonlord in exchange for a continued peace. The city though inside seems to have large churches all throughout, each dedicated to the same gargatuan beholder. The ruling family though has been noted for its large ship building industry. Bringing in apprentices of all races, and training new sailors from all over the globe in the trade. The city sees a bustling amount of foreign races within its settled populace.

Bronze Hold

Rumored to be ruled by the protofiend Alfred "The Bronze Berserker" of clan stone, the leader and clan name are noted as matching exactly. Though the appearance of the leader Alfred of Clan Stone has a more dwarven appearance, though slightly lighter in color and without a nose. The city itself is said to reflect the power of its ruler, as its rough melted walls of thick rune iron continue to hold against the constant fighting with Corix. Bronzehold is noted for its large collection of rare metals and materials gained through its rulers connections to the Kllozin nobility. Though many have noted that, the strange niwarves who serve amongst the cities guard. Many noted for there dark metaled armor and large intimidating designs throughout each soldier. The city itself has seen very little prosperity outside of the constant raids into Corix's lands. As the city is mostly noted as an outpost with strong walls and a large tower in the center that houses both the ruling family and an elite waroen unit who serves to protect the city from even the highest levels of magic. It should be noted that the city is also famous for many of the adventurers vanished that visit the city. Rumors have it that the soldiers are all the missing adventuerers brainwashed into service through magic and torture. Though no truth has been found, few are willing to investigate.

Frost Forge

Ruled by clan Frosthammer and the closest to the lands of bloods end. Frost Forge is noted for its specialization in crafting items to kill undead. Though the city does not allow necromancy to be practiced within its walls. The city forge the city is named after does have an elite core of waroen who specialize in necromancy keeping it running. The sounds of howling can be heard at all times of the night near the forge or so the commoners have said. The rest of the city is well known for its large forges, processing iron at all times of the day. With its more simplistic design, it is said that nothing goes to waste in Frost Forge, from its iron walls slowly mixed with other stronger metals over time, to the commoners resilliance to survive in these hostile times. The people of Frost Forge are a hardy bunch known for there love of coffee and landerkin.

Rune's Hold

Ruled by clan Stronghelm a clan well known for its ability to understand the jotun language. Historians believe this is due to the leader of the clan being half fell-jotun himself. The city sprouts an impressive battle axe for a central gate, attached to a massive helmet like dome that the city has been crafted into. Many believe Rune's Hold was actually the skull of an ancient storm jotun who had grown so large that he fell from the sky. Many pillars can be found throughout the city holding up the massive bronze helmet dome. Each carved with noteable smiths or clans who live amongst the cities representive. Known for its vast forges, the city sports a large port that specializes in ships of war crafting.

Technology periods

Here we shall discuss the main technological discoveries by this race.

Oventium Smiths

One of the few races adept at both finding oventium through a natural draw to the material, but as well as one of the few races capable of handling the material. With furnaces needing to reach temperatures far greater then even the Jotun-Modr or Fire Giants could handle. Those amongst the niwarves who would risk there lives at these great forges are said to have been capable of crafting legendary items and even artifacts in the first age without any prior use of the material. These forges are said to have been fueled by dragons themselves, and only the few that had been slain and the pieces gathered, gave the niwarves these historical capabilites.

Dragon Forges

Noted as only having had three exist in history, two of which belonged to the Niwarves, and the third lost to the underdark. These forges are said to be crafted by the Niwarves themselves, using the magic of the Grunaga, the niwarves would give there lives to craft these forges. Bringing them to life once more and the eternal flames within depending on the dragon coloration was noted to change colors and give different magical effects. Many historians have noted that the dragon forges were actually an artifact level item created through blood magic and binding the souls of those who worked on it to power and bring the forge to life. Thus producing the powerful flames needed to smith oventium, as the legends stated was the soul of the smith for each oventium artifact.

Jotun Rune Smiths

Though rare, there were a few amongst the niwarves who had managed to master the jotun rune crafting language. Those who had were considered the greatest amongst the waroen. Having to learn the language by items that had either been stolen, bought or found, the niwarves are a people of great crafting capablities. They would send volunteers to serve under the fell-jotun of the cracked lands as well, learning the craft of the great furnace and any other ancient arts still practed by the fell-jotun.

Hierarchy

Here we shall discuss how the overall ladder of power is designed in this races territories.

King

Adapted after the dragon Mov'asi declared the term into the history books. Uthem of clan Venkasz as a sort of personal spite would adapt the title to his own peoples language. A term that we use in common these days to represent the territorial power of an individual who owns a quarter or more of the continent they rule on. However, in draconic this term means "Powerful who claims all he sees without question". Which we later would learn that historically only three rulers ever managed this amongst the dragons. Mov'asi who would create the term for the title as historically it was confirmed that he had defeated all the dragon lords on his continent. Some accounts state it was done in a single fight, but historical facts prove that before his ascension to power he managed to best the armies of both Chaivcia and Corix, and almost reportedly killed Corix after the battle. Mov'asi was believed to be so fearsome in battle that the rest of the dragons refused to stand against him in belief that they would be stronger serving him. Thus the title of King was created as Mov'asi's first decree that all of the continent was to be ruled under him.

House

Noted as a term for those of a higher ranking at court. These ruling families were either considered to be in good relations with the king or had earned the title through a great deed that benefited the kingdom.

Clan

Noted as a term for a niwarves family that had at least two to three others sworn to it. This term was given to those families who had not yet gained the kings favor but had to much power to ignore.

Lesser Clan

A term used for a niwarves family that ruled enough land within the territory to begin funding a military.

Betepah (Bet-a-paw)

In common this roughly translated to "Fighter of many battles", this class of citizen was considered the officer elite amongst the niwarves. Many of them making up the clan leaders of lesser clans. The Betepah would be considered lifetime soldiers, it was believed that to be a Betepah one had to have slain a high ranking monster in single combat. Many would mark themselves with brands that represented the monster that they had slain to prove themselves, carrying a token from the monster upon a necklace or in a ring was also common.

Goey (Go-ee)

In common this roughly translated to "Young Warrior", many Goey would spend there youths trying to slay a creature of note to gain the title of Betepah. Leading to greater and greater deeds to be achieved both at war with other nations and in there off time. A nation of warriors is what the snowbeards kingdom was believed to be, a blade behind every leaf. Many traveling abroad to become adventuerers just to prove there capabilities, traveling with those who can record there great deeds. The Goey like the Betepah are considered an equal amongst the sexes. With all amongst the nations citizens who had interest in proving themselves enlisting amongst the ranks. Being found to wear the brand around there neck of the clan or house they served. It was said until a Goey became a Betepah, they were required to serve through the brand, no matter where they are at the time.

Waroen (War-oen)

In common this roughly translated to "Sage" or "User of Cold". The elite mage core amongst the niwarves, said to have stolen the magic from the Cult of Uthem. They would later indoctrinate the order in the early period of the first age. The only race noted to have had its own school of magic dedicated to cold magic and its research. The Waroen were said to be a legendary core of magical zealouts who could use up to tenth level magic by the end of the first age. Waroen each similar to the Goey wear a brand in service to there clan or house. However, unlike the Goey, they are never allowed to go free, those who prove themselves rise through the ranks of the order of waroen. Rising to the highest rank allowed those granted by the king the right of freedom and to found there own clan, though this was a rare allowance. Both feared and respected by the lesser clans, a waroen struck fear into the commoners. On the battlefield they were a force to be wreckened with, as they would each use there own understanding of cold magic to destroy there enemies. Some with axes of ice, others with mass amounts of arrows made to freeze what they hits blood. A truely vicious and elitest order of sages all attempting to compete with the other.

Raboy (Ra-boy)

A term that roughly translated to "Shopkeeper" or "Keeper of Wealth" in common. This was the title given to lesser clans leaders who spent there time instead focusing on wealth and power. While not a lower rank, those lesser clans who would rise as Raboy would find themselves looked down upon by there peers. As niwarves society favored strength and power over cunning and charisma. Thus giving the Raboy there own caste system amongst there ranks, similar to other merchants hierarchies. Trade guilds that would grow would look down on lesser tradesman within the city. Though Raboy were the most common to have large amounts of kyryt, only Goey and Betepah can actually own a Kyraak.

Rebnecken (Reb-neck-in)

A term that translates to "Commoner" in modern common, the term would roughly also mean "Plebeian". Typically given to those who's clans could not rise high enough and thus even with family names were considered to be common. There names holding no weight in society, few rebnecken would use there clan titles. Over the years the commoners would become known as "Those without family" amongst the society. The rebnecken made up the majority of the niwarves lesser ranks, those just barely above servants and would most often find themselves going abroad or working under a Raboy in the hopes of one day gaining wealth.

Kyryt (key-ert)

Roughly translating to "Servant" in common, this would roughly mean someone in the employ of another but also living on the employers property. Commonly misinterperted as Kyraak which means "Slave". The Kyryt were most commonly found amongst the Rebnecken who had found themselves so far into debt they could not get out. Offering to become a servent to another was the highest paying job in the niwarves society. As the Kyryt would attend to every need of the owner within reason, many would misinterpet this as they could serve as Goey in ones stead or use them to steal from others. However when convicted a Kyryt's master was considered a quarter as guilty, and as many of the niwarves punishments for breaking laws meant losing body parts, few wished to go against the code of ethics the nation followed.

Kyraak (Key-rak)

The term directly translates to "Slave" or "Owned" and was commonly miunderstood as the same level as a kyryt or servant. This term meant owned in the literal sense as the kyraak had no rights. They were typically just a class of citizen that were branded with there owners mark and a blackened S under the right and left eye to represent there rank. To kill a Kyraak would mean you had to pay for its original purchase price, showing truly how little this lesser class was cared for. Though it should be noted a niwarves could not serve as a Kyraak, only those of other races were allowed amongst the ranks.

Nobility

Here we shall discuss notable noble houses through the time periods.

King Uthgarm the Wise of house Venkazs

First king of Niwarves, he was said to be the greatest waroen and forgemaster amongst his people. Uthgarm was said to be named after the hrimur jotun Uthem after the he would visit his grandfather, bless the marriage of Uthgarms parents and his birth with grand fortune. King Uthgarm would rise from an early age to power through both force and great wisdom. Almost as if he were cursed, Uthgarm would gain his nickname and title of king as he forged the Helm of Wisdom that in his later years would be reforged into a staff that he would hand down to his heirs. King Uthgarm was noted as the only waroen capable of casting tenth and eleventh level magic at his peak by himself. His darkened skin and darkened beard was the trademark of his house. Having gained his power by threatening or slaying other clan leaders until their clan would agree to serve him. Uthgarm was a man known for his willingness to comit violence but calm demeanour. He was said to have lusted after Gunhild of house Hamescus, and was believed to be the true father of her unborn child.

Gunhild of House Hamescus

Known as the family of soul smiths, Gunhild is said to have been a prodigy in both soul stone crafting and creation. Gunhild has spent the majority of her life locked within her smithy, though her son Hamescus would arrive early in her life. Gunhild was believed to continue her focus on work while still managing to raise a child as capable as her own. Some would believe that Gunhild had made packs with protofiends in exchange of a child, however other would note her extreme infatuation with Uthgarm. Gunhild was noted as cold and condescending to all those around her except the king himself. Even having once slapped Alfred of clan Stone when he insulted her son's first hammer he had created. The two would almost bring there clans to war until Uthgarm threatened to destroy both there clans to keep the peace.

Alfred of clan Stone

Known for his albino skin and platinum blonde with amber highlighted beard, Alfred was a capable lord or so the historians would say. Having a member of The Collective of Pyrus at his court, the clan Stone was well known for its massive yet elite armies. Historians noted that the only reason for Alfred's rise was due to his capability to recognize teh value of information. As his court waroen is a high ranking member of The Collective of Pyrus or so they say. Alfred was known for having slain a pack of arcticmanes in single combat to protect a local Raboy. It is believed that with his income secured, he would bring in the waroen to serve him directly and soon after gain even greater allies who showed up mysterously at the same time as adventurers would vanish. With these three forces under him, Alfred would cut his way to power and only stop when given his ranking and the city of Bronzehold. Here he would build his army and elite forces, gathering even greater power through continous raids on the lesser dragon hordes in the area. With each raid it was said that Alfreds powers would grow, his magic was said to grow even stronger though not being capable of actual cold magic as a waroen, he was well known for improving his physical capabilities.

Lady Estrid of lesser clan Oventium

Known for her cocoa colored hair, her hazlenut skin and emerald eyes, as well as the slightly larger then average niwarves nose. Looking almost foreign to the average coal skinned, platinum blonde niwarves. Lady Estrid was known for her lesser nickname of "Smeller of Ore", Estrid would be noted historically as if coming from the unknown. Many niwarves believed her to be a dragon taking on the form of a foregin warves. Though in truth, she would claim that her clan had founded the city of Oventium, having sealed the beasts from within beneath there stronghold. Lady Estrid is said to have been clever and good with a forge, though easy to anger and extremely competitive.

Odger of House Stronghelm

Said to have been half fell-jotun and half niwarves, Odger was a large niwarves even by the species standards. His arms said to have been over six feet long, and his body being near ten feet. He was also noted as shooting beams of light from his helm and lightning from his arse. Historians believe that Odger did not actually exist historically, and in truth was instead a fell-jotun who had such a silver tongue that all those around him believed he was a niwarves. No true record has been found of where his house would come from, but in truth Odger was said to be strong enough to lift a landerkin with a single arm. Known to be very aloof, Odger was extremely clumsy and commonly found crashing into large statues or structures with his massive warhammer.

Royal houses of the First Age

To note, the first age saw hundreds of smaller clans of niwarves existing in society. These are the few who would become of note in history.

House Venkazs

The head family who ran the niwarves kingdoms from their founding. The oldest house and from all accounts the only one that would survive to the modern era. House Venkazs was considered powerful amongst even the greater races of the jotun and dragons. Noted as having a love for the study of magic, they had mastered by the end of the first age physical manipulation magic. Venkazs would grow to even greater power with the birth of Uthegarm and continue to rise to greater heights in the first age. With the sigil of a purple snake with red eyes pointed straight up on a grey background with an blackened cloud above and behind the snakes head and hail falling from it.

Clan Stone

Known as the clan of strength, they show there sigil of a bronze hammer on a grey iron background. There sigil like there beliefs are simple "Might makes Right" is the rule of the clan. Growing in popularity only recently under the single member known as Alfred of clan Stone, all those lesser clans who had fallen or sworn fealty did so only through bloodshed and death. Clan Stone is noted as the house who took any disagreement as the greatest insult, demanding the death of multiple clan members for the smallest of slights and having the ability to enforce it. Clan Stone is currently noted as having only a single member at this time.

House Hamescus

Known as the Golden Hammers of Snow as there sigil represents something similar of a golden hammer on a white background. The house is known for its crafting of cannons, ships of war, and soul stones. Though rarely capable enough to push or enforce much outside there main city, house hamescus has risen to power as the only Raboy house. Though many astute historians note that the rise came through Gunhilds interest in the king. Whatever the case may have been, the house grew with over a hundred living members at the beginning of the first age. Favoring coin over glory, the house was the few of the niwarves willing to deal with the dragons openly.

Lesser Clan Oventium

Noted as having been a single emerald green eye on a onyx black mountain with a blue background, the clan is noted as having only two members currently. Though most notebly the clan is becoming more capable of golemancy early on in the first age. Believing to be the family who would allow the monsters of the lower floors of oventium to then explore the overworld freely through golemancy. Many historians noted that clan Oventium was in truth the biggest power behind the niwarves, as those few monsters capable enough to take control of the golems were said to have been brought into a pack to serve the clan in any way needed. The clan would grow in strength quickly as lady Estrid would have multiple children and members of her clan rise from the depths of oventium as the years went on. The clan would seek even further power eventually birthing the first male of the clan who would later go on to lead a portion of niwarves turned vedan.

Clan Frosthammer

Known for the dragonskull with a snow white hammer cracking it from above on a blackened background as there banner. Clan Frosthammer were known as the dragon slayers of the niwarves. Though the clan would see the rise of many prominant smiths, many would lose there lives to there craft in exchange for granting the main bloodline of the family powerful items. Clan Frosthammer would rise to power through the bribery and respect of the other lesser clans in there area. Either through uthemous or corrupt power grabs, the clan of Frosthammer would grow through its capabilities in smithing and cunning. As those ranked amongst the highest in the clan would be all noted for having only gained the Betepah status through killing young or adult dragons.

House Stronghelm

Currently known as the house with a simple bronze helmet on a grey background for a sigil. House Stronghelm finds itself only fifty strong, all children of Odger himself through his uthemous to the multiple lesser clans. Managing to gain the most powerful title of house for his clan by singlehandedly defeating fourty Betepah one after another for three days straight. The house would grow to such strength that it could rival many of the other houses and clans, each son and daughter becoming rare commodities with those lesser clan leaders competing to bring them within there bloodline.

Military

Here we will discuss the noted military at the beginning of each age

First Age

Uthgarm the Wise

Noted as having an army of around 30,000 Betepah, 60,000 Goey, nearly 30,000 Waroen, 40,000 niwarves citizen professional soldiers, and 3,000 slaves that can be mobilized. While the other houses all contribute to this, many historians believe that the niwarves citizens and soldiers were extremely patriotic and loyal to the king himself.

Order of the Waroen

Known as the order of the cold sages or the ice heart mercenary corp as they would become in the beginning of corruption. This elite order of mages served in the first age the house and clans of the niwarves. Considered to be masters of cold magic, each was capable at there peak to use up to tenth level magic spells. Though the order would grow corrupt with time, early on they would serve as an independant college of magic within Rune's Hold.

Wars

Here we shall discuss the notable wars for each period and who they were against.

The Red Snow War

A massive war that would see the end of many minor snow beard clans. This civil war brought on by the worship of cereseki would cause two sides to form with those who served the royal family of Venkasz as the royalists. And the loyalists as those who served there god truthfully. As the war would conclude, clans such as Frostbuster would find themselves pruned or in some cases fully removed from the history books.

Unknown War (unknown time period)

At some point in the ancient histories a great war was fought between the gnoll kingdoms and the snow dwarf people. This war would end with the destruction and genocide of the united kingdoms of gnolls. This was accomplished by a great blizzard summoned by the snow dwarf king that would freeze the gnolls solid and supposedly wipe the gnoll army, and the kingdom itself.

Events/Holidays

We shall begin to discuss notable holidays and events in this culture. Explaining further on where they come from and what goes on during them.

Uthemous

The term used for the marriage of two niwarves, where the two families would gather together and decide who would join which clan. It was considered that whomever the dominant one in the relationship would be allowed to marry as many as they would like. However as the dominant one would choose to uthemous another, the two clans would come together to fight, if the dominant one that loses had multiple partners then, they would lose there contact with them and join the new dominant ones clan with no other partners. Once lost, you are forever stuck with that partner until they die in battle. If the parter is said to have died out of combat, the strongest amongst the remaining group would become the new dominant one.

Religious beliefs

Here we shall discuss the different religious beliefs in this races history throughout the periods.

Ceserski

A beholder who had grown to a size beyond any beholder before it. Supposedly Ceserski was a god of fertility for the snow dwarves and was their main idol of worship. Ceserski like the snow dwarves existed in the time period simply labeled as before chaos. Older then Alenta, and predating the High King. Ceserski would however disappear from the history books at a point never to be mentioned. Its whereabouts or what came of it, all that is known is that about the same time Ceserski vanishes, the snow dwarves start to decline in mass from the writings and imagery we have of the time period.

Known diseases

Here we shall discuss known diseases to be active and/or discovered or cured during the different time periods of these races

Chronicus Baldius

A disease in which is also considered a curse amongst the dwarves. Many medically trained scholars believe this to be an issue of the families bloodline, however no proof has come of this. This disease is simply the inability to grow a beard as a dwarf. To which in dwarven society marks one as weak and illegitimate. However, the dwarves believe this to be a curse by a demon or signs of mixing species. Though dwarves treat all equally, they do look down upon half breeds of their own race. Considering them weaker and no better then a slave or a hunting dog. Thus those dwarves who are born without the ability to grow a beard, are considered to either be half breeds or outright cursed by the high king himself for some misdeed their family has done.

Economy

Here we shall discuss the different economies during the different periods, from coinage to how the race did as a whole during each period.

Economic State

Here we shall find out how this races nation is doing in the current economic system of the world overall.

Coins

Here we shall find how the coins look, what materials they are made of, and what the value of the coins are on the overall market.
Hammer Irons
Said to be a quarter of a pound of iron in a coin with a carved hammer head into both sides with a large ridge around the edge of the coin.
Coin Irons
Said to be a fourth of a pound of iron in a coin with a bag of coins carved into both sides. With a large ridge around the edge of the coin.
Iron Tooth
Said to be an eighth of a pound of iron in a coin with a tooth carved into both sides. With a large ride around the edge of the coin.

Trade Goods

Here you shall find the trade goods this race has on offer in the nations they inhabit.
Oventium
A rare material that is said to be unbreakable. With a continuous oil like texture that seems to change color from purple to green depending on how the light hits the material. This rare metal is only found inside the city of Oventium and is said to be always hot to the touch, but as its cooled to a freezing temperature the material becomes more malleable and when combined with iron makes the rare material that seems to be unbreakable. 500,000,000gp = 1lbs
Rune Iron
Known to be identical to iron in every way, except the large rune carved into it with magicum poured into it. The iron is said to react when forging to the will of the craftsman and make the checks to craft with it a -5 in its overall dc to whatever its added to. However it does make the weapon or item its crafted into magical no mater what you do to the item from then on.
Magicum
The Liquid form of magicium that was said to be traded to waroen to make there spells stronger. However, few of the lesser clans are said to sell it on the black market and amongst the other cities of crakec.
Landerkin
A fat looking drake that is commonly grey, black, or brown or a color mix of the three. They are large creatures that are used as beasts of burden. They are commonly bred with dragon turtles and other such large monsters to increase its size and sturdyness. Known to hall the same amount as 4 oxen. The creature is extremely easy to tame as the are food motivated. Though it should be noted as they grow older there horns take on bizarre shapes and will need to be cut off every few years.
Arcticmanes
A creature depicted as a large dog like monster, standing 12ft tall, and with a mane of frost. The creature is known to hunt in packs and ambush with ice knife spells
Ships of War
Known to be large galleys of war, the ships of war made by the Niwarves were said to rival the sky ships of the jotuns. Though the ships could not fly, they were designed to defeat krackens and leviathans that patrolled the waters in the first age.

Imports/Trade Routes

Here we shall find the trade partners and trade routes.

Specialists/Population

Here we shall find what this race tends to specialize into, and what sort of population they have to each town.

Anatomy

Here we shall both provide a design as well as an explanation of the anatomy of the race in question. (image of )

Ability score increase

With a +2 to constitution and a +1 to intelligence, the niwarves were a people well respected for there hardiness and crafting ability.

Age

The average dwarf is considered still young by the age of 70, however by the age of 25 their bodies are fully matured to adulthood just like humans. The average dwarven lifespan is around 450 to 500 years of age. However you are considered an elder by the age of 425.

Phenotypes

Snow dwarves typically are born looking similar to the modern day snow elf that we hear so much about. While both have porcelain white skin and snow white hair, the difference here is that snow dwarves typically have blue or green eyes. Also most notably about the snow dwarves is that they tend to have ice cold bodies no matter the area, thus many believe that the snow dwarf might be cold blooded like the yuan ti.

Height and Weight

The average height of a dwarf is between 4 to 5 feet, however the tallest dwarf ever known was recorded at 5’8 and the shortest at 3’10. The average weight of a dwarf is between 150 to 200, however the heaviest dwarf has been recorded at 600lbs and the lowest at around 120lbs.

Alignment

Dwarves tend to stand by a code or law of the country. This tends to cause dwarves to be lawful and focus on upholding this law. Rarely does a dwarf end up chaotic or true neutral due to the issue that all dwarves have a certain code of honor they abide by. Unless they grew up as a slave or serf, being chaotic or neutral is extremely unusual. However they can be evil and have been depending on their own code that they follow. But they always have a code.

Speed

Your walking speed is 25 feet and your speed is not reduced by wearing heavy armor.

Founding

Here we shall explain when the race came to be, how it came to be, and whom it is credited to and where.   The snow dwarves are an interesting race when it comes to their history. Little is known of where they come from or when they are credited to history overall. However one thing is known is that when they appeared, they appeared under a single clan known as Venkasz along with three other minor houses who serves as the merchants, the smiths, and the warriors. Each of the minor houses served as leaders under and each seemed to educate the heirs of Venkasz. Ford none fo the minor houses seemed to have magical abilites to the same extreme.   Alongside this we have discovered that the snow dwarves do not seem to originate from the Vedan or any of the other dwarven races, as the vedan were still young and seperated at this time. And none shared any of the same appearances. While snow dwarves are pale and white haired, the vedan were dark skinned and typically had brown or black hair. Even stranger is how they were a fully established empire in what we now know as the snow elven territories. And that they ruled these lands for ten generations, even taking and sealing a giant beholder of the Humancious Eylbolis bloodline.   Although the origin is unknown, we know that they existed during a time when the gnolls ruled, the changelings and a few other races that according to our history were not created by the gods we know today.   Info to be established if occurs Julium the Hammer (Time) Note to go to Books organization pg 18   Aulus the Balanced (Time) Note to go to Books organization pg 18
