Carnivore, preferring the taste of male flesh of sentient creatures. Tending to favor hunting wandering merchants in her area.

It is said that Granny Apple got her nickname from once being a kind forest giant who fell to temptation of a powerful hag long since vanished from history. It is this giant nature that allows for such a kind and seemingly sweet demeanour. Though do not let this fool you, she is vicious and seems to feed on "those who worship gods and wander the woods in hopes of greed" as she calls it. She is one of the few hags that will not seduce her enemies, rather luring them in with a warm meal and a motherly visage. One cannot help but feel at home while under her spell as I learned. Though once the spell is broken, your mind returning back to you, she can find herself quite vicious and ready to attack at a moments notice. Fearing little more than the gods themselves, I was able to escape with my showing of the sigil of the golden god that I acquired within the Uthem Empire.

Special qualities

Spell-Like Abilities:
At will—dancing lights, disguise self, ghost sound, invisibility, pass without trace, tongues, call lightning, lightning bolt.

Known Weaknesses

Though strong in nature, the coven is only powerful when at its greatest numbers. Thus killing the coven either piece by piece or through luring out its leader and weakening the coven as a whole is recommended. For Granny Apple herself is able to resurrect instantly within any other hag who has joined her coven. This joining though seems to be limited to a consentual agreement that can be broken by either party at any time.

Unique Spells

Dimension Hole:
Identical to the spell Dimension Door, this spell instead acts offensively requiring a Reflex DC (10 + CL) to avoid. It appears if a door in the ground that opens up immediatly sending the failed save to wherever designated by the caster. If you succeed the spell must be recast as the door vanishes immediately after opening and closing.

Known Magic items

The Wand of the First Magi:
Said to have once belonged to the giant magi known as The Dark King, this once wand now adapted to a wooden spoon holds magic still capable of matching the demonlords of the clouded age. Though at the cost of raising ones own ability to that of a demonlord, your movement seems to come at a sacrifice. Those who have studied Granny Apple have noted that the item seems to almost enlarge its own to such an extreme that they can no longer move. Require vast amounts of magic to feed on at the cost of your body bloating from the intake. It seems to be bound to this coven and always handed down to the next "Granny Apple".

History

Though it is unknown who or truly what created Granny Apple and her coven, what little she was willing to share during our bout shocked me. Granny Apple herself claims to have once served alongside The Dark King and was a guide to the Grunaga clan of old as well. She stated it was a late winter when she found her way to a deep forest seeking an ancient tree to make a new staff from. During her search she claims to have ran into a mighty hag of fire not dissimilar to the one known as Vitra, "The Ash Mother". Though it is said that the power between any leading coven hag and this creature would be as if a mortal to a god.

After her meeting she claims that this grand hag mother would grant her immortality at the cost of "becoming a natural heir". Though at the time unclear she believes it had something to do with the fall of the demonlords and the destruction of the clouded age. Though from here she would not speak much more, stating she had spent her next millenia traveling and learning of the truths. Gathering followers and daughters that she collected from royal courts. Each member of her coven is said to have once been a beautiful mage of some sort that was seduced by her power and brought to her coven. Transforming each and forcing them to be left unable to return to society.

From here I found that it seems Granny Apple's most elite members are also gifted with immortality. The creatures seem ancient in some cases, knowing tongues that have long been forgotten. A small horde can also be found at the back of her melting pot that she keeps. Some of the books I noted as having belonged to Ogeron and the dragon king Ice. It is my belief that this creature is far older and more powerful then we had though. And might be our only link to the first rumored "Hag Mother".
