Armbands of Kraken's Might

Description:

These bronze leather covered armbands are said to both be engraved with the insignia of Vikeret "The Cryptic Smith".  Though the kraken leather covers the insignias, the leather is said to have the depiction of a mighty kraken on each.  Glowing a sickly bluish green when activated, it is said to grant its wielder a cosmetic metamorphasis as there eyes change upon wearing the item to appear similar to a krakens. 
 

Item Effect:

When you wear these armbands, you gain a +2 bonus on Strength checks and Strength-based skill checks. If you have the Power Attack feat, you also gain a +2 bonus on melee damage rolls for any attack on which you use the Power Attack feat and take a penalty of at least –2 on your attack roll.

Kraken Leather

These armbands made with kraken leather grant the user strange eyes in exchange for a 1/day use of Resist Energy (If they choose to Save, Fort DC based on 10 + Cha Mod)
These armbands also grant a +8 to swimming checks as if a racial bonus. And the wielder can always take 10 on swim checks, even if distracted or endangered.

Cost (if applicable): 10,000gp for kraken leather (medium). Increases by ten thousand each size catagory larger and only down by five thousand for each smaller.
