This creature is noted for enjoying toying with boats that try to escape it. Slowly taking sailors under the water one at a time to keep there screams and fear as heightened as possible.

Special qualities

This creature is believed to be ancient and capable of copying the abilities of those it kills. It is unknown how old or how many abilities the creature has. But it is theorized that this ability in fact links it to the illithid species. Leading to further belief that this creature is far more intelligent then it gives on.

Known Weaknesses

The creature believes it cannot be harmed and seems to have lived for so long with this mentality that rarely does it flee when attacked. Even when overwhelmed, the creature seems to only retreat if it know its beaten. Even going as far as to take on multiple Man-o-War's by itself when clearly outnumbered and quite injured.

History

Said to have been the first creature to crawl from the primordial ooze of the deep oceans alongside what is theorized to be the long exctinct island terrasques. Alka-Rus is one of the last creatures from The Clouded Age said to still live today. Capable of fending off both the Tara sisters after accidently attacking them with the thought that they were ancient dragon turtles within the water. Alka-Rus is a complete mystery as to how she has survived to this day and age without being captured or killed. But a beast that once fended off crews of demonic creatures who rivaled the beasts of Mors should not be taken lightly. With her clear signs of battle from creatures with magic far beyond our undestanding. Portions of the ancient water naga seem to have pulsating spell effects still working away at the creature, while others show glimmers of red death ore like veins beneath her scales. 
In truth we have no true understanding of her history and only assume the creature is female as many male water naga seem to attempt to foolishly mate with her annually. Only to be added to the brew of corpses that she has built into a nest that sher surrounds herself within. Giving both an unnatural hydra like appearance and a thick bone like armor that seems to keep her scales protected. As well as being long enough to supposedly traverse the entirety of the material plane in days. Almost catching her tail while doing so and creating tsunamis that could wipe out cities for miles inland. Truly a creature that has seen the passing of time and with that the scariest age of our history as if it was nothing more then a second in her lifespan.
