Knightsbane

Knightsbane is a poisonous plant found in Western Sildair, especially in and around the Black Forest. It is rarely deadly, but has a powerful paralizing effect. It takes its name from a Ronceauxien legend about a maiden who was betrothed to a ruthless knight, whom she feared and hated. He was an avid jouster, and particularly enjoyed fighting wild animals on foot. The day before their wedding a tournament was to take place, and the maiden secretly applied Knightsbane to her lips, and asked the knight for a kiss before he entered the ring. He was subsequently killed by the Lithosaur he was going to fight.
