Goblins

One of the most wretched creatures in all of Sildair, goblins live a harsh and unforgiving life almost everywhere they are found. Their origins are unknown, but many believe they are cursed Small Folk, while others claim they are degenerate orcs. What is certain is that goblins are found almost everywhere in Sildair, and have been since the earliest Dawning Epoch.

Genetics and Reproduction

Goblins reproduce like humans, but have a gestation period of just 95 days, or slightly less than three Sildairan months. Furthermore, goblins mature physically after around age 12 years, which means that even when suffering harsh circumstances: disease, famine and war, goblin populations can often recover quite quickly. Goblins very rarely live beyond 55 years of age without the intervention of healing magic, and many die much sooner, meeting violent ends.
