Within Silans Mon, there are many strange materials only found in this dimension. One such material is, adequately, called Nightmare Fuel. This substance is a natural substance within the realm of Silans Mòn, generated by those who died in fear or by those who do not regret the event that lead them to the place of punishment.

Material Characteristics

The material is smoky on the edges while appearing a solid black void in the center. It is often found floating in pockets of various sizes, usually over those who died within the realm of Silans Mòn. The size varies with the number of corpses in a given area and how frightened the dead were when they died.

Nightmare Fuel is freezing to the touch, inflicting a burning sensation upon bare flesh of those that try to harvest it.

History & Usage

History

The first souls who survived its discovery took notes and left those behind for new souls. Overtime, more souls learned to collect it from the dead and use it to power machines that provide protection from the ever increasing swarm of monsters that patrol the realm under guidance of the Warden. Slowly, it was discovered that Nightmare Fuel had another form, a liquid version that poured from a soul's eyes if they refused to repent for the crimes and events that lead their soul to this place.

Discovery

It is long lost on who discovered Nightmare Fuel, but those who survived its discovery left notes for the new souls that wander the realm.

Nightmare Fuel is used to fuel the machines found throughout the realm of Silans Mòn, both by the souls and the Warden.
