must be Laidian.

must be exceptional in several types of weaponry

must be able to cast a fair range of spells

Appointment

Appointed by the community, accepted by the previous Laidia (or, in the case of the previous Laidia's death, the advisory council). No ritual, but there is a large celebration and ceremony to commemorate the new Laidia stepping into power. In the event the new Laidia does not have a name yet, they are given a name during this ceremony.

Duties

Protect the lands of Sila, negotiate with other kingdoms/governments, guide the people in both spirit and direction, answer questions/help others towards Acceptance.

Responsibilities

Light up temple as soon as the sun rises, put it out when the sun sets.
