Erdan Brightwood is a member of Fire Team Alpha. His extensive knowledge of elemental magic allows him to manipulate fire, lightning, ice, and poison gas.

General Physical Condition

Erdan is recognized by his tall, lanky build with long limbs. One would mistake him for a sickly fellow (which he actually is) but he is surprisingly skilled in combat magic.

Personal history

Erdan is the third of five children of Lord Elemir, a high-ranking member the Council of the Green in the Faeven Republic. While his siblings are energetic and lively children who would always play outside, Erdan was sickly and prefers to stay in the house and read books, one of which he is particularly fond of is a compilation of studies by the late Sage Meros Jouvellier, renowned among the Elves as a master of the elements. Noticing his unwavering interest in the subject, his mother enrolled him to the prestigious Academy of Laemerra in the city of Visari-Selvestra.
During his time in the Academy, Erdan showed dedication and promise, his performance in academics exceeding expectations from his mentors and peers, especially in subjects related to the arcane. As soon as he graduated, he was granted membership in the Mithari Scholars Guild under the title of Arcane Scholar. He also applied as a custodian in the Thena Archives.
During his time as custodian, Erdan would occasionally read ancient tomes in the Archives' Vault of Secrets, where he caught wind of the corruption within the Faeven Republic through notes and letters tucked within the tomes. He went to the Council of the Green to share his discoveries, hoping they could help him root out the source of this corruption. Unfortunately, he was relieved of his station as custodian, stripped of his title and membership, and was accused of treason. Not one to come quietly, Erdan lashed out at his superiors and escaped.
A wanted fugitive, Erdan was forced into hiding, traveling further south until he encountered Hanna Frisk, a former captain of the Crimson Guard, dishonorably discharged for repeated counts of insubordination. He enlists her help in saving the Faeven Republic from the corruption within the Council of the Green.

Education

At a young age, Erdan has shown to have great intellect, which makes up for his lack of physical strength. He studied in the Academy of Laemerra and finished in the top of the honor roll.

Employment

Erdan was given membership in the Mithari Scholars Guild with the title of Arcane Scholar, which specializes in studying the mysteries of the numerous magical forces in Signus. He was also a custodian in the Thena Archives, a library in Visari-Selvestra.
