Campaign Character Introduction

The character's have each individually taken up an employment contract for one year with Jadeus Kale through the Mercenary Guild to assist him on his search for some ancient ruins and retrieve items of interest to him. The campaign opens as the characters arrive in the city having made their way to the city of Avalle to meet with Jadeus Kale, begin their employment and meet their fellow adventurers.

Character's Contract with Jadeus Kale.

The characters have agreed to be on exclusive retainer for Jadeus for at least a period of 12 months. This base retainer fee to ensure their availability for any job he has need of being done and to make him the exclusive private employer for that time. The base fee is to cover their living and operational expenses while in his service. While the characters are not forbidden from taking open contracts with the Mercenary Guild during this time Jadeus's jobs must take priority above any other jobs and must ensure they are able to be contacted at any time. Jadeus agrees to pay the characters for an additional contract fee for any job that requires them to leave the city of Avalle or if that job carries a potential of danger. The characters and Jadeus also agree that the characters are entitled to all loot acquired in the pursuit of these jobs with the exception of the item the characters are sent to acquire and any historical document, artwork or relic of interest to Jadeus. All payments are to be paid to each individual involved in the contract.
Duration: 12 Months
Retainer: 25 gold per month (300 gold total)
Base Job Rate: 100 gold plus 50 gold per week or part thereof
Danger Pay: 100 gold if the characters are required to engage in combat in direct relation to the job.
Bonus Pay: Bonus pay is to be paid for exceptional service as determined by Jadeus.
