Hingalad

"When my good friend Meeder showed me Hingalad, it seemed a place set apart from the world. Down a sunny hill we traveled through the grasslands until we came across a deep circular valley 3 miles in diameter by my measurement. The rim was a cool slope of the lovely verdant grass that is characteristic of the region. At the center of this pit a mass of spiraled trees pushes upwards in a spire of rosewood and golden leaves. Thick shaded grasses that bound the woods begged one to rest in its soft embrace. The way the wood twisted would make one recall the wicker baskets and chairs hawked under market banners, but these trees made a lattes all their own.
I asked if we could examine the interior of the glade but Meeder insisted that we should wait till nightfall. I shared some tea I had brought from Leasong as we watched the sun slide past the rim of the basin. In the waning light we watched strange lights dance just inside the glade. Meeder confirmed my suspicion; whisps in the woods.
We watched for a while as the whisps danced between the trees before we returned to his cabin. I expressed my need to examine the glade further but my host insisted that he had more wonders to show in the morning."

Geography

Highglade is a patch of dense spiraled trees in the center of a deep crater. Several dozen miles of rolling grassland frames the crater.

Fauna & Flora

A soft green grass grows to knee level from the rim to the trees year-round. Red wild flowers bloom in the Season of Rains. Small game animals (rabbits) make their homes in the slopes of the crater. The spiraled trees are of an unknown species.

A bendy, red tinted wood. Small game animals.
