Titanian Eternal Physiology: By far the strongest and most powerful Eternal from Titan, Thanos is a superhuman mutant whose massive, heavy-bodied form was born with the capacity to synthesize cosmic energy for certain personal uses. The mad titan has increased his powers through bionic amplification and mystical enhancement. He was deemed a Category 1 Life Ender by the Nova Corps and to have a "universal" threat level.
- Superhuman Strength: Thanos possesses vast superhuman strength the full limits of which aren't known. Residual energy from the Super-Nova helmet has increased his strength beyond the original limits to levels where he far surpassing those of the physically strongest Eternals. He has proven capable of fighting Knull one on one. He was also able to beat in melee fight the cosmically power-enhanced Annihilus. Thanos can also augment his strength with his cosmic energy when needed but doing it rarely as his own power is mostly enough. Thanos was also able to destroy a planet in a battle with Drax the Destroyer, he was even able to spar hand-to-hand with a previous host of the Phoenix Force. Thanos punched his brother, Eros, into the planet they were fighting above and destroyed it by charging through him.
- Superhuman Agility: Despite his great size, Thanos' agility, balance, and bodily coordination are enhanced to levels that are beyond the natural physical limits of the finest human athlete. His agility is roughly equal to that of the average Eternal.
- Superhuman Reflexes: Thanos' reaction time is enhanced to a level that is beyond the natural physical limits of the finest human athlete. Like his agility, his reflexes are about average for an Eternal.
- Superhuman Stamina: Thanos' musculature produces almost no fatigue toxins during physical activity. As a result, he has nearly superhuman stamina in all physical activities.
- Nigh-Invulnerability: Thanos possesses an impressive degree of resistance to physical injury, even compared to other Eternals. Exposure to gamma-radiation from the prototype Super-Nova helmet has mutated him increasing his ability to resist injury to a much greater degree and he is now nigh-invulnerable. He has withstood, at point-blank range, planet-destroying attacks without any harm. He has withstood blasts from the Silver Surfer to point-blank range - unharmed. He possesses such an incredible resistance to injury that he has been shown to survive point-blank blasts from Odin, and Galactus. Thanos has survived being subjected to an artificial 2-light year wide black hole.
- Immortality: Thanos, like all Eternals, is immortal in the sense that he is immune to all known diseases and infections and is immune to the effects of aging.
- Regenerative Healing Factor: Despite his extraordinary durability, it is possible to injure Thanos. Like all Eternals, however, Thanos is capable of regenerating damaged tissue with much greater speed and efficiency than a human being. His healing powers aren't as developed as those of some Eternals. Some Eternals are capable of regenerating any destroyed tissue. Given the circumstances of his death at the hands of Drax the Destroyer during the Annihilation event, Thanos is unable to regenerate missing organs, such as a heart.

Personal history
Thanos was one of the last sons of A'Lars, progenitor of the second colony of Eternals on Titan, and Sui-San, the last survivor of the original settlement of Eternals in this moon. He was born with purple, hide-like skin and a massive body due to his Deviant Syndrome. The very first time his mother laid her eyes on the baby, she was driven mad and tried to kill him. Thanos grew up to have an introvert nature, but despite this and his unusual appearance, Thanos was well accepted by his peers. He was a mild-mannered intellectual that dreamed of becoming a scientist like his neglectful father. However, Thanos was forced to give up his dream after his father offered him as the Titan ambassador for the Shi'ar Empire. Thanos was inducted into the empire and was their first successful test subject for the Dark Hawk program and was mostly used for combat purposes and quickly rose through the ranks to becoming a general. It was on Xandar where he had met his wife, Terraxia, and together they bore a child named Thane. Thanos led several battles against Surtur's forces during the Flame Wars of Korbin, quelled the prison riot of Hydonis-56, and aided a group of heroes in sealing away Knull, the Lord of the Abyss. Unfortunately, after Thanos returned from leading troops on Contraxia, he returned home to find that his wife had slain their son. Terraxia claimed that the physical embodiment of death had visited her and convinced her to kill Thane. Thanos was forced to kill Terraxia who sought to murder him as well. Shortly after this incident, Thanos himself claimed to meet and talk with the physical embodiment of death which Nova Corps researchers believe is due to mental degradation, caused by the radiation emitted by the Raptor Crystal. Thanos defected from the Shi'ar Empire and began a crusade to gather the Infinity Stones and wipe out half of the universe's population in tribute to Death. Since then, he has paved his way throughout the galaxy conquering planets and adding new soldiers and races to his ever-expanding army. Thanos has personally adopted several children from the planets he has conquered and has trained them to be generals in his army. We don't exactly how many of these children he has adopted, but we know that Nebula, Skreet, Corvus Glave, Proximus Midnight, Cull Obsidian, and formerly Gamora were members of his "family" which he calls the Black Order. Thanos is a constant thorn in the Nova Corps side and could be a potential threat for Terra since the planet harbors both the Time and Reality Stones.
