Personal history
One of the most promising geneticists in history, Dr. Miles Warren was hired by S.H.I.E.L.D. to investigate into communicating with other animals. Working alongside Scott Lang and Hank Pym, the trio created the Inter-species Communications Helmet (ISC Helmet) which Scott used during his career as Ant-Man to communicate with other insects. After several complaints from staff and unanswered complaints about a raise, Dr. Warren left S.H.I.E.L.D. leaving behind an unflattering note calling us quote "idiotic neanderthals who can't even see the future if it slapped us in our slow-blinking faces." From there, Dr. Warren found a job at Roxxon. While there, he worked alongside Dr. Kurtis Conners and Dr. Michael Morbius to perfect Cross-species genetics. Working long, hard nights caused something to snap in Dr. Warren. Warren was then obsessed with cross species and isolated himself from his partners claiming that "they have inferior genetics." After the failures of his peers, Warren agreed to work with Dr. Otto Octavious and together they created a batch of genetically altered spiders. While Roxxon initially saw these spiders as failures, these spiders created some of the first Cross-Species by empowering both Spider-Men. Experiment after experiment, the best Dr. Warren could do is combine the DNA of almost every animal except humans. Displeased with Warren's results, Roxxon ousted Warren and stole his research. Vowing revenge and with help of one of his experiments the Gibbon, Dr. Warren set up shop in an abandoned subway station under Manhattan. There, he used pieces of scrap and discarded technology to replicate his DNA splicing machine. With his new army of cross-species animals including Kitty Rats and Bull-Frogs, Dr. Warren then used his ISC Helmet to control this army in a bid to take back his research from Roxxon. Through the intervention of local vigilante Spider-Man, Warren was apprehended. Since his incarceration, Dr, Warren has asked for several articles pertaining to Spider-Man and his exploits hinting that Dr. Warren's new obsession is now with the wall-crawler himself. Hopefully this won't become a problem in the future.
S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent, Misty Knight
Against my wishes, the Raft realesed Dr. Warren into the public on parole. "Off for good behavior" or so I've been told. Dr. Warren wasted no time in getting back into the world of crime, but seemingly with a new goal: to capture and experiment on Spider-Man. Using one of his unlucky test subjects to bait Spider-Man, Warren pursued him throughout the city with a new batch of genetic abnormalities. After capturing the hero, Dr. Warren synthesized a serum which would allow a human to perfectly replicate the abilities of another species. Testing it on himself, Dr. Warren found that he was able to assimilate other species and use their abilities. After a brutal battle between himself and the Spider-Man, Dr. Warren, now going as the Jackal, was placed into S.H.I.E.L.D. custody thanks to Spider-Man. Warren is now placed in a specialized solitary confinement cell which is armed to eradicate any non-required organisms that enter it.
S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent, Misty Knight
For many years now, S.H.I.E.L.D. has used Dr. Warren to expand their knowledge of genetics with Warren agreeing to work closely with S.H.I.E.L.D. scientist, Dr. Herbert Wyndham. Doctors Wyndham and Warren helped S.H.I.E.L.D. understand not just cross-species on a genetic level, but every super human. That is until the Raft breakout. Both Warren and Wyndham were M.I.A. and S.H.I.E.L.D. feared the worst, but Dr. Warren soon cropped up a few weeks later in the Arctic. Dr. Warren had been transported to The Savage Lands, Antarctica by A.I.M. to study and communicate with the environment's unique prehistoric fauna. Under the leadership of Dr. Monica Rappacini, Dr. Warren experimented on several specimens before going mad and experimenting on his fellow scientists turning them into frogmen. He then used his tech to mind control Specimen #78411: Devil Dinosaur and used it to attack S.H.I.E.L.D. Consulting Team - 1: The Avengers. After being defeated by the Avengers, Dr. Warren was dropped into a vat of his own mutagen by Devil Dinosaur and has been declared dead.

Dr. Warren graduated top of his class at Dartmouth and even studied under the great Dr. Laura Richards.
Employment
Dr. Warren worked as a lead scientist for S.H.I.E.L.D for a brief period of time before being fired for disorderly conduct and toxicity in the workplace. He then found a job with Roxxon, but was fired again for failure to meet job expectations. Dr. Warren's final job was with the "Aaron Davis Rehabilitation Program" where he worked as a geneticist for S.H.I.E.L.D. once again until he escaped custody.
Mental Trauma
Stemming from his vast intellect, Dr. Warren has developed a superiority complex that allows him to separate himself from the rest of humanity. Warren has also had a mental break since Roxxon seized his work which has escalated into actions of violence.

Dr. Warren believes that earth belongs to the most fit. Adopting a militaristic view on Darwinism, Dr. Warren seeks to weed out the weak masses and enhance the strong allowing Cross-Species to inherit the earth.
