Report: The Dalendra'thira Delegation

General Summary

The strangest occurrence happened. For decades, our gates have been shut to the outside world, only our ports to receive supplies and pay our levies to the Imperial City have seen outsiders. However, one day a massive projection of the evil human magus, Malkor the Magister appeared outside our walls. Fearing that the powerful mage had arrived to claim some sort of power for himself we sent out guards to assess the situation. Imagine their surprise when they found not one of the most powerful beings of our time, but a small band of seemingly lost humans. Our guards were not certain of the situation, as one of them bore the visage of Malkor, but none of his great power. With centuries of earned wisdom, he decided not to cut them down, and instead investigate further.     For the first time in nearly a century, humans walked the streets of Dalendra’thira as the humans were escorted to the Palace of the Magi for our council to assess the situation. We interrogated them and quickly learned that while they were not a threat, they had a great deal more knowledge of our world than we had assumed any mortal had. They knew of the treachery of the Heavenly Chorus, had a concept of Orderings, and even had information that we were blind to, that Malkor was indeed still alive and planning to use his immense power to trigger and ordering and take the place of the gods. While this information was concerning to us, we also were limited in our ability to help. We explained to them the direness of our situation, having few Saeli left in the world after the destruction of Gwin’talatir during the War of Ashes and the fact that half of Dalendra’thira was still occupied by the demon lord Gluttony and his hosts. We must pay the Empire it’s dues to keep the peace as well as safeguard against the demons with only our powerful magic to compensate for our few numbers.     However, while we are few, I realized that we can still aide the humans in their quest to thwart Malkor by gifting them with powerful artifacts from our vault, granting them one apiece. While I fear that even armed with such tools they will be no much for a being as powerful as Malkor, we hope they do succeed, for the world that Malkor would create would have little room for the likes of the Saeli.     -Scribed by Lysandros, High Arcanist of Dalendra’thira   Adventuring Party: Russell, Monique, Patrick Smith   Date: 25MAR23
