Yangra Station

The distal gate to the cosmos, Yangra is one of the oldest in Union. Odd to think that it's closer to Cradle than we are to the orbital depot. -Julia Haeders

Demographics

Thousands live on Yangra Station, similar to other old Blink Gate stations. A smattering of humanity from across the stars, Yangra station is a staple of Union blinkspace.

Government

Yangra station is directly overseen by UBO/NTM, a representative officer presiding over the station.

Defences

Safeguarded by a fleet of UN ships, as most blink stations are, Yangra Station is a fortress of military power. Conventional invasion and assault from an external force would be foolish at best. On the station proper there is a standing garrison of Union Auxiliaries, either in training or on mission throughout the sector.

Industry & Trade

Mostly material trade runs through Yangra, as much of corespace in the Midland Archipelago is highly productive in raw material. Fuel is also a common commodity on the station, refueling starliners and exporting fuel to other sectors.

Infrastructure

Besides the blink gate, Yangra maintains a large shipyard in support of the UN, in addition to a nuclear fuel storage facility harvested from the nearby star.

History

Built during the Second Expansion Period, Yangra is one of Union's oldest Blink Stations. It was briefly autonomous during The Outer Dark. As a result, much of the Midland Archipelago looks to Yangra as a steadfast levy in the face of political strife.
