Shattered Kingdoms, 485 AGU

Shattered Kingdoms is a never ending expanse of untamed nature. At the heart of the Shattered Kingdoms is the Marconian Empire. An ever expanding collection of kingdoms ruled over by a Theocracy.

485 years there was a catastrophic event as the great earth god Huldrend's heart broke. The lands throughout the world shook, mountains fell while in some places the deep rocks of the earth shot up, creating new ones. All the vast kingdoms were destroyed. Little of civilization remained.

Shortly after the Great Upheaval a war for the future of the Shattered Kingdoms began. The Great Wyrms, large godlike dragons, fought each over as to what to do with those who remained alive. From that struggle the Marconian Empire immerged.

The Empire sought to rebuild civilization. For centuries it continued to expand adding various kingdoms to their growing Empire. They consider themselves the center of civilization in the Shattered Kingdoms, but the world is vast and unending and who knows who or what else survived the Great Upheaval .
