Era beginning/end
The Great Accident was the singular event that created The Shard. An explosion of celestial magic spawned the matter that forms the planet, and led to the evolution of life forms that inhabit it.
As all things do, the story of Shardinia begins with a single moment. Unlike some things, however, the particular moment we're discussing was not supposed to happen. This moment went unnamed for many thousands of years, for there were none with the intelligence to find a use for names. Nowadays, it goes by the name of The Great Accident. It was great both in the size of the accident, and the size of the impact it has had on the planet of Shardinia. And that is why we must discuss it now, starting just before it happened... Before The Great Accident, there was Alan. A fantastic, eccentric, celestial Scientist, Alan found the infinite dimensions and solitude of space to be quite dull. He decided that he needed a project to help ease his boredom. He embarked on the greatest experiment ever attempted, to create matter and life. Alan aimed to create a planet and populate it with flora and fauna, giving him endless intrigue and opportunity for observation and experiments. But, as the name suggests, The Great Accident isn't the story of an entirely successful experiment. Alan made a couple of miscalculations when determining the energy and heat output of the procedure. Alongside the creation of a planet and life, Alan also created an explosion. And a big one at that. Alan's apparatus went flying, and unfortunately for him, some of his bones did too. And thus, from the right femur of this interstellar scientist, The Shard was formed. Shod of the majority of its flesh, the remains of the prism-shaped bone fired through Alan's stomach, picking up the remnants of the takeaway Alan had ordered the night before, on the way to the great expanse of the infinite multiverse. Eventually, The Shard settled into its orbit around the epicentre of the explosion, now a swirling ball of light and energy, and as the takeaway remnants separated over many thousands of years, the three flavoured seas of Shardinia were born. The core of the planet, being made from the bone of a Celestial Titan, is imbued with a strange otherworldly magic and power. As this magic dissipated outwards, the seas and lands were imbued with power too. Over a few thousand more years, life began to flourish, with flora and fauna developing first in the flavoured seas, before finding their way onto land.
