Roje's Feathesaurus

A quill made from the feather of an extinct species of Phoenix, born of Alanmantium itself. The quill is crystalline and shines with the full colours of the rainbow, yet its curved barbs are soft to the touch.
The quill may be used as a spellcasting focus. When it is used in this way, the quill allows the caster to exchange a single word from the spell's text with any other single word of their choice. This effect may be used once per long rest, and once per spell. Once the quill has been used to alter a spell, it may not be used to alter that spell again.
To activate the quill, the caster must place it at the beginning of the spell in their spellbook or scroll, and begin reading the spell aloud. The quill will trace over the words of the spell, following the caster's words exactly, magically altering the chosen word in real time. Once the casting has completed, the spell returns to its previous wording on the page.
