Falstar Organization in Shamans Oath | World Anvil

Falstar

The nation of Falstar is ruled by the Crusader Knights of Falnost, and as such, is a stronghold of military strength and power. This organization has grown to be the only power in the nation, but still draws its traditions and histories from the nation it was born from. Therefore, in the mountainous terrain, even small villages still brew their beers, and are known to have festivals that are not strictly within the guidelines of the Crusader Knights, but are allowed to continue for the morale of the nation itself. A great wall surrounds the nation, with gates allowing access through but manned by Crusader Knights at all times. The official religion of the nation is that of Iomedae, and the official language is Common, but the Falstar dialect is still found.   The Grand Wall   The wall that surrounds the nation is thick, at least 50 ft wide at minimum, and in flat areas, as thick as 100ft. This allows the guards to take up positions atop it, and every three miles (as allowed by terrain) there is a guardmount. This functionally allows the nation to be fully armed at all times from any outside forces.   Fields of Ghaldar   The battlefields of the war that was the beginning of the crusade still stand as a monument to the loss of life. According to legend, the undead forces of a long forgotten army were assaulting the nation, and it was only by the intervention of the Crusader Knights from the city of Falnost that the nation was not overcome. Today, the battlefields carry a sense of longing, and it is not uncommon to encounter restless spirits of Knights and civilians both. Along the edge of this battlefield is a swamp, where the bodies of the enemies were tossed, and it is said that on nights of the full moon, ghostly lights can be seen there. It is highly recommended to not follow those lights.   Dhulan Fort   This fort stands in ruin, but was previously the headquarters of the Falstar forces before the Crusader Knights took over. The fort is made of stone, and seems to have a network of tunnels underneath it that leads to various hidden campsites all across the nation.   Falnost   The new capital of the nation itself, the city of Falnost holds the High Court of the Crusader Knights. This militaristic capital building is the platform from which the High Crusader gives his orders. The city also holds the Holy Calvary School, where new recruits are trained. In every city, the sale of alcohol is strictly banned, and this holds true here tenfold. The High Crusader will not allow a drop of alcohol into his capital city, and therefore, there are no bars. However, a bustling marketplace, complete with hawkers selling their national foods of sausage and pretzels are present instead.
