Port Baraldo (Bah-ral-doh)

The capital city of Brishella.

Demographics

Baraldo has a high concentration of Merfolk, Avianfolk, Humans and Orcs.   A large number of citizens are sailors, traders, and crafters.

Government

The city is under rule of the 1st champion, who oversees Northern Faldor. The strongest and most capable champion is tasked with the safety of the capital city. They utilize a trusted group of advisors to keep the city and their region running smoothly.

Defences

The city has thick wooden walls spanning the land to the north and south. The north entrance is a massive wooden doorway on ground level, while the south sides entrance is raised with a winding rope bridge leading its way to the upper city. Four towers protect the bays, two on either side.

Industry & Trade

Lots of trade of relics recovered from the deep ocean occur in Baraldo. Expert sea ship builders live here.

Infrastructure

A canal city built in the depths of a jungle. The lower part of the city is connected via waterways, roads, and bridges. The upper city runs through the treetop canopy, aloft with walkways and rope bridges. The city is sometimes seen as a living symbolic connection of the Skylands and the Lowlands living in harmony.

Baraldo's Canal: Built for ship's passage through the continent of Faldor between its bordering oceans.   Renalia's Cathedral: The largest and one of few remaining religious sites to Shalar's founding gods.   Jukinca's Shipwright: A world renowned seafaring ship building company, currently looking into merging Sea & Sky Ship technologies and techniques.

Architecture

Most of the city is built with the strong thick wood from the trees grown in the jungle. Stone is used when necessary for a structures stability to the ground.

Geography

Baraldo spans the Faldorian Isthmus. An ocean lies to either side of the city, and it also separates the northern and southern parts of the contintent.
