Malachitetron

Eddie is a first generation born in the U.S. in Freedom City. Both of his parents emigrated from Mexico City, Mexico. Eddie’s father, Carlos Castro Chavez, was a watchmaker and jeweler, and his mother, Gloria Gonzales Gallegos, was a computer-aided design drafter even though she still loved the old ways and used mechanical pencils and her drafting board.
Eddie’s parents migrated to the U.S. and with their backgrounds; they first started making security devices for banks, which lead them to work for the Department of Meta-normal Census and Affairs (D.M.C.A.), and by then they were making tracking devices and miniature defense devices.
At a young age, Eddie loved taking apart things and making them into something else. He loved to go to junkyards, flea markets, and recycling centers for computers, and make new creations.
Eddie excelled in school and graduated at age 16 from Freedom City University in Computer Engineering and Astrophysics. A year later he had patents on a computer tomography system for cargo and transport containers, a water-soluble fraction extraction to extract minerals from active lava, a wearable device to protect doctors who use x-rays, interfaces for planning vehicle routes, gas turbine-cooled shroud assembly with hot gas ingestion suppression, and over 60 other patents. He was very successful and arrogant because of his successes.
Eddie's parents were so good at building devices that their names were put on the Dark Web. This is when they were approached and asked to work for Labrys Industries, which Eddie's parents suspected of working with metavillains. Eddie’s parents refused. A week later, both of Eddie's parents were dead. Although their deaths were made to look like an accident, Eddie knew better.
Eddie does not want to take revenge, but to make sure that this did not happen to anyone else. Eddie tried to use law enforcement to no avail. That's when Eddie decided to create gadgets to catch criminals.
And so Eddie became “Malachitetron”. But not knowing anything about being a metahero, Eddie decided to seek out metaheroes in Freedom City to learn from them.
