Kid Shadow

Jonathan Richard Rolland was born in Angel City, California. His parents, Richard and Rina Rolland decided to move to Freedom City in late 2019 when at 8 years old, Jonathan started to exhibit signs of being a mutant.
Not knowing how to help young Jonathan develop his mutant abilities, they contacted Duncan Summers, the Headmaster of Claremont Academy in Freedom City. Despite being young, Jonathan was accepted at Claremont Academy which usually only accepts high school-age students.
Rina accepted a job as the branch manager of Eastern Seaboard (or E-Sea) Bank in downtown Freedom City. Richard, who had worked as a detective with the Angel City Police Department (ACPD) also accepted a job as a detective with the Freedom City Police Department (FCPD).
