Yenent

Geography

Two major continents of Mullend and Upin, the minor continent of Shad, and numerous islands of various sizes make up the world of Yenent. A large whirlpool named the Cauldron rests in the central embrace of the Upin and Mullened. Ships cannot sail beyond the far horizon due to impossible currents flowing inland and terrible storms. Yenent is a highly volcanic land, to the point where an eruption is treated as normal and uninteresting. While the firemounts are obviously destructive, they also create incredibly rich soil.
The Yenyi call Yenent their homeland and have filled it with a rich history of both glory and devastation. Due to the independent and rebellious nature of Yenyi, borders of cultures constantly fluctuate. Currently, the Duthoa Empire claims the continent of Mullend and the Vizehkt Dynasty holds on to their ancestral lands of Upin. The Sonyyu Regime is found in the more densely forested subcontinent Shadnott. The K'azni Dominion has claimed all islands, expanding out rapidly from their homeland in Obervein.

Climate

In comparison to the other worlds, Yenent has a mild but arid climate with little rainfall. Plant and animal life have adapted to the lack of rain, producing a tough and often prickly environment. However, it is a highly volcanic land with incredibly fertile soil, so some plants are able to flourish despite low amounts of rainfall. This creates numerous biomes in this dry world, with only certain areas being true deserts. Yet even the most rugged plants of the desert cannot withstand the acid rains that sweep through the land after the firemounts erupt.

Fauna & Flora

These lands are known for an aggressive subspecies of afke dragon called the T'ashke, or Ashbinger afke. These afke have a long history of conflict with the Yenyi peoples of in this world. However, even enemies can work together if the need becomes great enough. T'ashke nest in the toxic volcanic vents or flowing magma tunnels. They are some of the only creatures who can endure the extreme heat of lava, though many other species live in and around the firemounts. However, even the T'ashke cannot withstand the brutal explosive force of a full eruption.
