The Golden Hills

The Golden Hills refer to a small set of foothills and rounded mountains found just West of Dawnsheath Post along the coast of the Fractal. More specifically, it often refers to the Northern slopes and hillsides of these mountains that face inland towards the Dawnbreak Bay. Here along the grassland slopes are carved a meandering set of paths, cobblestone walkways, and small skydocks built to welcome nobles from across the bay from Valedor who vacation here on their Skyships.
Most commonly frequented during the Festival of Ships, this has grown to become a popular vacation spot for wealth individuals and families from the capital city - leading to a scattering of boutique inns and seasonal taverns built throughout the hillside, ranging from the size of small bed and breakfasts to great feast halls that are only open during peak seasons of travel.
The Golden Hills gets its name from its position on the coast of the Fractal, where the Dawnbreak Bay exposes it to more sunlight throughout the day than most other places in the Imperial Fractals - meaning that hours of darkness are quite short here year-round.
