Saint Sahriel's Basilica
One of the grandest modern constructions of the Imperial Age, and the pride of the Church of Saint Sahriel, Saint Sahriel’s Basilica is a symbol of both the opulence of architecture in Valedor and the fervor of its named Saint, rendered into marble. Every inch of the cathedral is covered in sculptures depicting Saint Sahriel and others in reliefs evocative of the Age of Antiquity, crafted by some of the finest artists and Bards in the city. To have one's work immortalized on or performed in the basilica is both an honor from the church and a career-defining moment for the great artists and patrons of Valedor.
In addition to its purposes as both a place of religious and political importance in the Valedori Empire, it is also a place of worship for those who follow Saint Sahriel. Among these followers, there is one group that is the most romanticized and the most feared - the Vindicta, an order of assassins that calls Saint Sahriel’s Basilica home and uses it as a base of their operations in their practice of carrying out Vendetta.
