Strategist Psion

Psions with the analytical minds of a Strategist see their zone of influence for the chessboard it is, and no one can beat them at their own game. They know all the moves and have studied the pawns that surround them. They usually see victory from the beginning and are waiting at the end of most struggles for others to catch up. Their psionic abilities enhance them, which elevates those around them.

No matter a Strategist’s attitude, they usually land in the role of leader or warlord. While some cannot stand their subordinates, other psions find a family in their warband or party. Either way, they know that more pieces allow you to play the game longer and better.

Psions of this ilk generally dress in symmetrical styles, with an eye toward utility and comfort. Their cadre generally follows their fashion, thus creating a close-knit following.

Level 2: Though Imparts Action

You gain proficiency on initiative rolls and may add either your Intelligence modifier or your Dexterity modifier to your initiative roll.

Level 2: Action Grants Movement

Whenever you affect a creature with one of your psionic effects or attacks, you may use your bonus action to grant an ally some movement. When you do so, choose a friendly creature within your zone of influence; that creature may immediately use its reaction to move 10 feet. This movement doesn’t provoke opportunity attacks.

Level 6: Movement Provides Defense

You know a moving target is difficult prey, so you are always on the move. You try to help others see this truth.

For every 10 feet you move during your turn, you gain a +1 bonus to your AC until the beginning of your next turn. This bonus cannot exceed your Intelligence modifier.

Level 14: Defense Affords Organization

You read the ebbs and flows of battle so well you can keep your allies in order—for their own good.

When you gain a bonus to your AC via your Movement Provides Defense feature, as a reaction, you may share that benefit with a number of allies up to your Intelligence modifier within your zone of influence until the beginning of your next turn.

Level 18: Organization Grants Victory

The final stratagem is within your grasp. After many battles and countless war councils, you have ultimate understanding of battle tactics.

Whenever you enhance your allies with your Defense Affords Organization feature, you gain the following additional benefits:

  • You gain +10 feet to your movement speed.
  • You gain +1 t o hit with melee, ranged, and psionic attacks per ally enhanced by your Defense Affords Organization feature.
