You create a 20-foot-radius sphere of ethereal gas centered on a point within range.

Each creature that is within the spells area at the start of its turn must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, the creature begins to suffocate and is frightened. While suffocating in this way it can survive for anumber of rounds equal to its Constitution modifier (minimum of 1).

A suffocating creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.

Creatures that don't need to breathe automatically succeed on this saving throw.
