Urban Symbiosis

Urban Symbiosis is the philosophical and technological initiative pioneered by Pfizer-Monsanto to genetically engineer domestic home animals and plants to improve the lives of urban city dwellers. The philosophy behind Urban Symbiosis is that only through purposeful and directed design of organisms that cohabitate the world around us that we can live in harmony.
The front runner of the Urban Symbiosis initiative is the Cultured Companions program, which seeks to bioengineer the perfect animal companion for recreational, therapeutic and assistive needs. The animals are genetically engineered to have ideal temperament, and given biological augmentations to further refine their mind and bodies to an urban lifestyle. Cultured animals are marketed under the Pfizer Perfect Pets brand identity.
In 2049, the Pity's Recompense operated a roadshow of the program in southeast Asia.
