B-MAX

The Boeing B-MAX is an urban operations synchropter, with distinctive intermeshing rotors. It is commonly used in construction, search and rescue, and light cargo operations. The B-MAX is nimble and agile, and the lack of a tail rotor increases safety of operations in high density areas and greatly reduces its noise profile. The pilot can switch between quiet or performance modes at the flick of a switch. The B-MAX can also be fully automated or remote controlled by a neural linked operator with the appropriate equipment.

Variants and Configurations

B-MAX A is the fully autonomous configuration. While the cockpit leaves room for a pilot (or passenger), the helicopter is capable of executing complex maneuvers and obeying high level directives from human directors, air traffic control, or passengers within the vehicle. Space inside the vehicle is limited due to the installation of automation hardware, fail safes, and sensor systems.   B-MAX C is the cargo configuration, with the cabin replaced with a cargo winch or articulated arm. The maximum cargo capacity is 4500 kg (at sea level). This variant has rudimentary autonomous capabilities.   B-MAX B/1 is a military gunship configuration. It is based on the cargo variant, mounting a ventral gun turret in place of the cargo winch. The turret can mount a single rotary 20mm autocannon, or dual .50 cal machineguns. This configuration can also carry a single laser guided bomb, with the laser sight mounted in the turret system.   B-MAX B/2 is a military configuration specializing in close air support. It mounts a pair of Boeing Hellfire missile batteries on wing pylons on either side of the helicopter, which can also support other missile payloads.   B-MAX P is the passenger configuration. The cabin of the B-MAX holds 2 passengers comfortably, or 3 passengers with limited space.
