A World of Magic, Dragons and Fey

Magic has been a part of the world of sezony for thousands of years, perhaps since its creation by the great god of giants, Autor. Arcane magic was first harnessed by mortal races during the “ First Age of Mortals” by the Halfling prophet Sol, whereupon its techniques, which were primitive in comparison to the present age, were passed down orally, generation to generation by the nomadic Halfling people. The druids of the world maintain that when the use of magic spread to the other cultures of the world unrestrained, the intense and widespread arcane activity called the Feywyld to cross-over into the world, bringing the chaos, confusion and destruction of the fey creatures to the world.
In response to this event, the five great gods created dragon guardians to beat back the fey creatures to their own world. So ensured a great battle known as “The Great Purge”, a war between dragons and fey. After many long years and countless deaths of mortal creatures caught in the crossfire, the dragon guardians emerged victorious.
The world was still yet not safe, for thousands more years, the dragon guardians enslaved the mortal races as their servants and it wasn’t until they were sealed away that the mortal races were able to found their own kingdoms and cities. Two thousand more years passed and the dragons were returned to the world and finally defeated at the hands of a band of brave divine heroes. This time was known as the “ Dragon War”.
Now the world finds itself at a crossroad as new and existing nations rise and fall and the people seek to build a new life from the ashes of the old.
