12 Adar 1066
The gods and kings alike keep vast secrets from their subjects. The North is still scarred by the conquest of Gaman Sek and his four apprentices – who burst from the Necropolis with an army that grew with every death they inflicted, even decades after the event -and the Necropolis once again echoes with the sound of undying footsteps. The barbarians gain boldness. The cities are falling apart from corruption and disease. Divine Right is no longer a guarantor of morality, and some whispers – even from the great halls – are wondering if it ever was.
The gods are silent on the matter.
