Noctu

Geography

Noctu is a planet with four large landmasses surrounded by freshwater ocean. Due to the warm climate, the land is a mixture of plains, swamps, and mountain regions, with very little variation in temperature.

Fauna & Flora

Most of the flora on Noctu is primarily black or very dark blue in color so that it is able to absorb energy from the red giant star (Reruda) that Noctu orbits. Flowers and fruits tend to be bio-luminescent in order to stand out and attract animals.

Prey animals on Noctu tend to have darker, less showy coloration, while those near the top of the food chain have more dramatic coloration. Bio-luminescence in Noctun animals is rarer then in plants, but it is displayed in some, most notibly the Canursa and the Actiju .
