Swiftstorm 1st-7th: Sea Voyage to Rainstar Island

General Summary

Winter breaks, and the winds whip across the faces of the Cenobites on deck of the Cutter Azar's Ray. A swift ship, they make good time, reaching the small fishing village and smuggler's haven of Crabber's Bay in 5 days, only being delayed once by an incoming cyclone. Luckily, Shrub 's druidcraft allowed the captain to run aground and prepare for the storm, saving the group certain calamity.
On resupply at Crabber's Bay, the group sets off from the coastline into the open ocean for the first time. A day into their journey, they're attacked under cover of fog by a Sahaugin raiding party led by a female magic user pulled by two large sharks. After killing off a few of their soldiers who boarded the ship, Shrub jumps overboard, becoming a shark and intending to take the fight to the enemy. Instead, he's immediately mind controlled by the Sahaugin lieutenant, and a parley is struck by the female leader. She casts the tongues spell and demands a gift of meat (provided by a sack of stone crab claws and the body of a sahaugin gutted by Mountain Storm) as well as leaving this territory, which the party is all to happy to do. Upon reciving these gifts, she states "Meat is Meat" and releases Shrub from his bonds, disappearing with their spoils into the deep.
As the party recovers from this shock, land hoves in sight the next day. A rocky, pebble stewn beach bordering marshland greets them, and Shrub strikes up a conversation with a giant octopus. Sitting on a rock and eating oysters, the affable Andre 8000 gives the group some good information about the area, and lets them know not to look the lizards on the island to the north in the eyes, and that to the south the beack is bordered by forest rather than marsh.
Sailing just south, the party gets ready to embark and set foot on Rainstar Island for the first time. What they will encounter next is uncertain...
