Pelor

The Lightbringer Pelor (a.k.a. Sunfather)

Pelor is a generally beloved Deity. Seen as benevolent and merciful. His worship is very common place, and his temples and shrines are numerous. Farmers often find themselves to be his most numerous followers as the Great Lord of the Sun blesses their crops. He is often seen as a kindly father and protector of commonfolk.
Pelor's followers tend to be very organized. Though whether there is a central head of their faith varies from continent to continent. However his Paladins and Clerics tend to form holy orders and be at times more zealous then the average Pelorite.

Holidays

Breadgiving Day. On this day, taking place on the Winter Solstice clerics of Pelor distrbute bread and warm meals to those less fortunate individuals.
Midsummer's Day. This day, also known as the Holy Day of Pelor, takes place on the day of the Summer Solstice. The week before great preparations take place, where people work hard to prepare for a great feast, dance, and festivities which takes place on the day of the Summer Solstice.
