Galactic Security Institution
Righteous in dutyThe Galactic Security Institution (GSI) is an organisation dedicated to maintaining safety across the galaxy, including through the use of force where necessary. It was founded by individuals who sought to bring meaningful change but found themselves at odds with the conduct and conventions of the Galactic Union, choosing instead to operate outside it.
The GSI holds a notable place in history as the first organisation to report definitive evidence of U'krhith's impending arrival into the galaxy. Having taken the predictions and concerns of the Relphi seriously long before others did, they were ahead of the wider galactic community in their warnings. However by the time the evidence was conclusive, it was already too late to prevent what followed.
Reputation
The GSI carries an intimidating reputation, in part due to its willingness to use force and its independent stance from other governing bodies. Despite this, it is widely regarded as more responsive than comparable organisations, and is known for acting quickly when aid is requested.A significant proportion of GSI members are Shapeshifters, largely because Shapeshifter Outworlders have historically been pushed away from the Galactic Union. Despite this, the organisation does not answer to the Shapeshifter Administration and maintains a firm independence from it, as it does from all other external bodies.
