Beisha High Priest (Bay-shuh High Priest)
Beisha High Priests are the highest authorities of the Beisha Church. They answer only to the gods themselves and are even said to be mortal reincarnations of them. There is one for each nation.
Requirements
They must be Pure Mages.
Appointment
The child is taken to the capital temple and dipped in holy water to determine if they are the destined high priest. If the water glows, then it means that person is worthy.

High priests are held to even higher standards than regular priests. Just like their subordinates, high priests can be dismissed if they commit a Cardinal sin such as acting against another priest, abusing the public trust, or blasphemy. They are punished and stripped of their powers without warning by Sephiran or Phidione themselves.
Cultural Significance
High priests some of the most important people in their realms, on par with political rulers. For example, when Koulmia Le Verger was kidnapped, the entirety of Herringnome dropped out of a war, and received immediate aid by the side they had attacked.
