Wrath of God

A Forgotten Race

In a time long before our oldest recording, we hear tell of a race, so powerful that during their time, not even the daemons dared rise against them. The races that parented the ones we know today called them the Wrath of God.
All that is known about this race comes from two myths, and three poetic ballads. These tales and songs have been passed on and pieces forgotten by the releks and the giants of the northern mountains. According to legend these beings were the pioneers of the wold, and as they conquered it and multiplied their strength became less. God's work was being accomplished and so he used the tool less and less. As for what they looked like, the balled of Sorrendahl only gives a vague description.

Their hair shone bright like the pale moonlight, and their skin was cold as the darkest night. Their eyes could cut through the toughest steel, and yet their gaze was all you'd want to feel. Fairer things can not be. Fairer people could not last. They left their glory in the past.

Anatomy

They looked like the race of men, but more beautiful and far more dangerous. One account speaks of pointed ears.

Genetics and Reproduction

Nothing is truly recorded about their reproduction, only that they did indeed reproduce. Because they are known as the fathers of humankind, many presume that their process was similar to that of humans.

Ecology and Habitats

Some tales tell of their cunning, their ability to deceive nature into spreading itself for them. Others tell of natures refusal and their exploits inspire of the environment. They did not change their surroundings, they only commanded them to obey, and they did. According to legend Amalia Hammyn ceased the wind and snow in the frozen mountains for nearly a decade so that she could have a private place to bathe and walk bare in nature. During this decade the mountains dared not harm her, and the wind feared chilling her.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

They like humans had the five adaptable senses of sight, touch, hearing, taste, and smell. However their connection to the Order of Elegance was so great that they had a sixth sense. This allowed them to perceive things faster and from greater distances, it also gave them strength to plow mountains, fell great forests, and even speak to animals.

Origin/Ancestry

According to legend, these powerful beings were created by Esrasil to go forward and make the earth submit to them. Anything that denied them was crushed under their might.

Conservation Status

The species is called the mother race of man, for as the first of them multiplied and divided their spirits, their connection to the Order of Elegance grew weaker. It was this concentrated connection that made what might have been a mere man, into something far greater, and in enough ways, different. As this faded the race changed. Evolving into a much weaker yet more prominent race. In this way Elegance ensured their survival until they were many enough.
