A terrible alloy devised to cripple the arcane potency of wizards and other spellcasters as a means to take the reigns of magical usage away from individuals and place it in the hands of a demagogue like tyrants.

Utility

Used by Mage Hunters employed by Merlin during the later period of the Halfling Imperial Golden Age to take care of political undesirables that opposed his growing stranglehold on magical practitioners in Avalon.

Manufacturing

Recipe for creation is unknown but rumored to involve the sacrifice of 9th tier wizards blood in tremendous volumes. The source of this blood was likely tied to Merlin's inquisition against those who still venerated Soveliss in Avalon opposing his development of an Arcanum fueled by the power of the Grail rather than mastery of the Seed of Magic.

Only ever given out as gifts from Merlin himself to the highest-ranking members of his Inquisition against Soveliss. Rumors persist that a longsword was commissioned for Arthur and the other members of the Knights of the Round Table but confirmation has never been achieved.

Discovered by Merlin in early 24,926 when he started developing weapons for his growing Arcanum Cult venerating him as the second coming of the Arcane Titan Meryl, as he started seeking to usurp Soveliss the High God of Arcane Magic.
