Knights of Lune

The Sacred Battle Force of Lunastria that is also known as the Battle-Maidens of Lune.
This special Military Order is divided into divisions, each one lead by a "Captain" that are addressed as "Shield Maidens". The order is composed only of women that are chosen by Lune herself when a sacred Pegasus approaches them. Pegasus are said to be messengers of Lune, that bestow her blessing on a woman that has been chosen to serve Lunastria and the Holy Order in her name.
The Battle Maidens of the Moon are only commanded by the King and can directly answer to the Pontiff only when authority of the King is not possible at the moment.

Hierarchy of the Knights of Lune

The Sacred Order of the Knights of Lune is divided into divisions or batallions consisting of 10 Winged-Knights that are lead by a Shield Maiden (Captain). The Shield Maidens are only inferior of rank to the Supreme Commander of the Order, also known as "The Gladiola".

Pegasus and their Chosen one

Pegasus are sacred creatures that have only being sighted in Lunastria, and more specifically near Lake Moondra, neighboring the Glacial Palace. They are winged horse-like creatures that are said to be messengers of the will of Lune in Seles. Their life-span are tied up to the Maiden they have chosen, and will usually die shortly after their companion is gone. There has been some exception recorded in history, where Pegasus chose a new Maiden close to their past one, restablishing their sacred bond.
